Emperor And Batushka Added To Brutal Assault '19

Brutal Assault Festival announces another band update for its upcoming 2019 edition. Tells the festival promotion agency:

"As promised, here we have a couple of new bands for you!First we have Polish preachers BATUSHKA who are on fire right now and who will bring their mass of darkpsalms to the metal masses again. And on top of that we have a household name of the genre. As apreliminary Christmass gift we have Norwegian cult EMPEROR for you! With the musical visionary Ihsahnin front, we can look forward for one of the greatest legends of extreme metal that brought us treasures likeInno a Satana, Into the Infinity of Thoughts, Towards The Pantheon and many more!Unfortunately, even Brutal Assault can't be without changes and unpleasant losses. Aura Noir Replaces Batushka for Inferno Fest 2019

To the surprise of many, and without any warning, Batushka has canceled their concert at Inferno Metal Festival 2019. Rumor has it that they have a new manager and made this decision without contacting Inferno Metal Festival directly. Apparently, Inferno Metal Festival were informed by Batushka's booking agent. Inferno Metal Festival were able to get the highly requested Aura Noir as a worthy replacement.

Inferno Metal Festival are offering refunds for those that purchased the Thursday only ticket option. See the Inferno Metal Festival website for detail on how to get your refund if this is the case for you.

Graspop Adds 26 More Bands

The organisers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting has announced a further 26 bands for this year's edition of the festival, including Swedish death metallers Arch Enemy, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis and costumed rockers, Ghost. Also newly confirmed are Septicflesh, Skindred, Corrosion Of Conformity, Accept, Skillet, Tremonti, Baroness, Shinedown, Hollywood Undead, Seether, Neurosis, Dead Cross, Eisbrecher, Pertubator, Wolves In The Throne Room, L7, Carach Angren, Dool, The Vintage Caravan, Diablo BLVD, Batushka, Mantar and Ego Kill Talent. The event's Facebook post claims that the lineup is now "more or less complete" with "a few finishing touches" to come. It will be held in the town of Dessel from June 21 - 24th.

Batushka To Kick Off European Pilgrimage Part III

Polish black metal legion Batushka will kick off a nearly three-week long European tour later this week. The European Pilgrimage Part III journey will commence January 10th in Tilburg, Netherlands and march its way through eighteen venues, coming to a close on January 27th in Rijssen, Netherlands. Support will be provided by avant black metallers Schammasch and ritualistic death industrial outfit Trepaneringsritualen. See confirmed dates below.

Batushka Signs With Metal Blade Records

Polish black metal legion Batushka is the latest addition to Metal Blade Records' U.S. roster.

Pronounced "Batjushka," the band's Cyrillic name means "father" and is used to address an Eastern Orthodox priest. Despite the themes and imagery, they are not a Christian act. The identities of the members are unknown, but they are involved with other bands. Their live lineup contains eight members.

On November 3rd, Metal Blade will reissue the debut full length "Litourgiya," which was initially released in 2015 in limited quantity (500 copies) via Witching Hour Productions. Despite its relative cult status, the record earned critical accolades from journalists "in the know."

The running order for MetalDays’ 2017 edition has been published today on the festival’s official website. Do you want to know when your favorite bands will be playing there and how to prepare yourself best for the party season?
