Formed in 1993 and disbanded in 1999, Dead Nervous System, (DNS) went through struggles to get heard. Including many band line-up changes. Their music is a mix of many genres some of which weren’t even labeled back then, including hardcore, death metal, mosh-metal, and thrash metal. In the time they were together they had the pleasure of performing with plenty of popular metal groups such as Stuck Mojo, Skrape, Decide, Morbid Angel, Nothing Face, Sheldon, Sacred Reich, Exodus, LA Guns, Vader, Incantation, Tree, Snot. The lead singer also acquired an appearance on the Howard Stern Show! They also received plenty of awards and positive recognition from magazines and critics. The main reason that led to the break up of this band was because of too many people joining and leaving the band too fast. By the time they had a steady line up again, the chemistry wasn’t there and their style of writing between members had changed so much that it might as well have been a different band. In the end, they kept the members but changed their name. This band didn’t last long though and everyone went their separate ways and formed new bands.
