Scorpions To Headline Bloodstock 2019

he organisers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has confirmed the second headliner for next year's edition of the event. Bringing the weekend to a close on Sunday night will be German hard rock/heavy metal pioneers, Scorpions. The festival is set to take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire between Thursday 8 August and Sunday 11 August 2019. The initial lineup is as follows:

Bloodstock Announces More Bands For Next Year

The organisers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced six more bands for next year's edition of the event, in addition to the previously announced headliners, Sabaton. Bands now added include Finnish metallers Children Of Bodom, who will be performing their only British show of 2019 at the festival, as well as Gothic stalwarts Cradle Of Filth, Swedish death metal veterans Hypocrisy and Soilwork, the former will also be performing their only UK show at Bloodstock, former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider and progressive metal legends Queensryche.

Sabaton To Headline Bloodstock 2019

The organisers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has confirmed the first headliner for next year's edition of the event. Swedish power metal outfit Sabaton will cap off the main stage on Friday and have posted a video online promising a full headline show in what will be their only performance in the United Kingdom in 2019. First Bands Confirmed For Wacken Open Air 2019

The first batch of bands for next year's edition of Wacken Open Air, the thirtieth anniversary of the festivals, have been announced, including power metal supergroup Demons & Wizards, who have stated that it will be their only German festival show. Also announced for the event so far are Sabaton, Parkway Drive, Airbourne, Within Temptation, Rose Tattoo, Krokus, Powerwolf, Dark Funeral, Meshuggah and Avatar. The event is set to take place from August 1st - 3rd.

Demons & Wizards/Iced Earth guitarist Jon Schaffer stated: "It's a good pressure for Hansi and I, it's a good kind. It's the kind we like. We're very excited about it. The thing is we wanted to continue the Demons & Wizards thing, but with Iced Earth and Blind Guardian, we're very busy people, and our schedules... it's just one of those times right now where the holes are lining up in the right way for us to be able to commit to shows next summer. So it's cool."

The organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise has announced the last four bands to perform at this year's event. Canadian death metal veterans Kataklysm will be performing, in addition to American power metal outfit Seven Kingdoms has been confirmed for the journey, as well as Belgian groove metal band Diablo BLVD and Colombian speed metal group Revenge. Two More Confirmed For 70000 Tons Of Metal

Comedy metal act Psychostick and Mexican doom metal band Majestic Downfall are the latest groups announced to play this year's edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which sets sail in only six days. This brings the total number of confirmed bands up to fifty six, with only four more to be confirmed. The organisers have said that the next three bands to be confirmed will all hail from different continents. Witherfall, the progressive power metal group featuring former White Wizzard members Jake Dreyer (also of Iced Earth) and Joseph Michael, are the latest band to be confirmed this year's edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise. Their debut album, "Nocturnes And Requiems" was released through Century Media in February last year. This leaves only thirteen more bands to be announced.
