Gotthard's latest album, "Lipservice," has been certified platinum in Switzerland for sales in excess of 40,000 copies in their home country. The ceremony took place in Zürich during the "PISA Finals." "Lipservice" is close to receiving double-platinum.
"Lipservice," the latest album of AOR masters Gotthard, has entered the charts in their home country Switzerland at #1.
In Germany, the album reached #31 straight away, and came in at #58 in Austria.

Gotthard will debut songs from "Lipservice" live at several club shows in May. In addition, the group will perform their single 'Lift 'U' Up' on the show "Benissimo" (SF1, Switzerland) on Saturday, May 5. The program starts 8:05 p.m. and will be repeated on Sunday, May 8 at 12:50 a.m. and on Wednesday, May 11 at 1:45 p.m. The program will also feature a special Queen medley recorded by Gotthard singer Steve Lee along with Gigi Moto and Marc Storace (Krokus).

GOTTHARD have been added to the Bloodstock Open Air lineup. This will be the million selling Swiss Classic Rock acts first appearance in the UK since their debut tour with Magnum in the early 1990's and is sure to please their many UK fans. They will be promoting their latest release 'Lipservice' due out on June 6th on Nuclear Blast. This will be preceded by a single in April, details of which are at gotthard.com. More...
The new Gotthard video for the first single, "Lift 'U' Up," is finished and will be aired in April on European TV-Music-Stations. First pictures of the video-shooting are online on the official Gotthard website and more pictures will be added within the next days.

Veteran Swiss hard rockers Gotthard have been confirmed for the Tradate Iron Fest, a five-day event set to take place June 1-5 at Campo Sportivo in Tradate (VA), Italy. Gotthard will play on June 3rd.

The first Gotthard single in 2005 will be released on April 11th 2005 and will contain the song "Lift U Up." A large picture gallery and the video to "Lift U Up" will be on the CD as well. On June 7th 2005 the new album will be in the stores.

After their appearance with the Olympia song "One Team One Spirit" on Swiss television during the election of the Swiss sportsman of the year, Gotthard got decorated with the "Diamond Award" for 1 million sold albums in their home country Switzerland. The same evening, the band signed a new, long term contract with Nuclear Blast Records. The cooperation will start with a first single, due on April 11th 2005, followed by a new studio album on June 6th 2005.
Nuclear Blast Records is very proud of its new signing, especially as Gotthard will tie up to "heavier times" with their new songs, ready to show once again that the band ranks among the top of the international Hard Rock league. "We're very excited about the signing of Gotthard. We heard the new material – the power and the quality of the new songs has convinced us completely", says NB label manager Matthias Lasch about the new cooperation.
