Cave In Still Inactive; Update On Band Members
Cave In currently has no plans to reconvene anytime soon. Regarding the band's status, guitarist Adam McGrath states the following:
"Cave In's members are all presently living in different places and focused on different things. When your together for over ten years you tend to want to stretch with out each other. We are still brothers and continue to support eachother in all our musical endeavors. I don't know when or how but we WILL cross paths again."
Meanwhile, McGrath has also offered updates regarding his bandmates:
"- Stove has a new record coming out in November on Hydra Head. Stephen Brodsky's Octave Museum is the perfect album to drift off into the 16 bit landscape of warp zone's, minus worlds and triforces.
- Caleb has recorded a new record with Santos Montano of OMG fame. Zozobra's "Harmonic Tremors" will see the light of day in the near future on Hydra Head as well. It is a new FRONTIER of heavy music that will blow all minds.
- JR has been bashing away his drums with Doomriders. RIDE OR DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also has gone back to school to refine his computer hacking skills.
- Ben is currently on tour with the mighty Converge. The new record "No Heroes" is their most savage and ferocious work in years. Everyone reading this should go check out why Converge is presently the undisputed greatest American hardcore band.
-Myself (Adam)...I have recorded an album with my new band Clouds. The "Legendary Demo" was recorded last summer by Stove and will be out on Hydra Head in Feb 07."

Doomriders Recruit Ex-Cave In Drummer
Drummer Chris Bevalaqua has amicably left Doomriders and has subsequently been replaced by former Cave In drummer, JR Connors. Here's a statement from the band:
"We have our ups and we have our downs. So let's start with the downs first.....Bev unfortunately had to leave the band. It's an amicable split and we are very sorry to see him go but we wish him all the best in his pursuits. Ladies and Gentlemen of the west coast will surely see him skating, surfing, drinking coffee, and walking around aimlessly looking for wireless Internet on a regular basis. Watch out. Bev's coming. We are very happy however to announce that the man who will be filling Bev's shoes is none other than JR Connors of Cave In fame. He's only been back from Berlin for two weeks and we already snatched him up much to the chagrin of his lovely wife. He's a MANIAC. He's learning our songs and doing a damn fine job of it I might add. We are very proud to welcome JR to the band and are positive he will up the ante quite a bit. Oh and his name is actually John. John Connors... like in terminator. How fucking cool is that?"

Doomriders Join Deathwish Lineup
Doomriders have officially joined the Deathwish Inc. roster. The group features Nate Newton (Converge), Jebb Riley (There Were Wires), Chris Pupecki (Cast Iron Hike), and Chris Bevalaqua (Hallraker) and the label describes them this way: "[This] wall of sound is the bastard child of Classic Rock, Death N' Roll and raging Skate Rock. With a majority of their songs Skate-inspired, they push forth with a heaviness that brings to mind later era Entombed and Integrity, while their raw punk bursts conjure memories of the legendary JFA." You can listen to one of their MP3s here. The band will enter Godcity Studios with Kurt Ballou this winter to record their Deathwish debut, which should hit stores in early-2005.
