New Bands Announced For 70,000 Tons Of Metal 2015

70,000 Tons of Metal promoters UMC added four more acts to the 2015 edition of the world's largest heavy metal cruise: Danish hard rock act D.A.D., Scottish pirates Alestorm, U.K. legends Tank and the ultimate evil from Poland: Behemoth.

Though the "All-Star Jam" was absent from the 2014 edition, the Jeff Waters run funfest - now dubbed "Jamming With Waters" is set to return in 2015. This is how it will go down: Waters will assemble the line-up and compile a list of songs. Then the fans will vote later this year for which of these songs will be played!

The world's largest metal cruise casts off on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with a stop at Ocho Rios, Jamaica, returning on Tuesday, January 26, 2015 aboard a new ship, Liberty of the Seas (via Royal Caribbean), which will accommodate four stages. The All-Star Jam band will be back this coming January, which features members from the various acts aboard performing cover tunes live. There will also be two hot tubs on the pool deck stage.

70,000 Tons of Metal promoters UMC added the 21st act to the 2015 edition of the world's largest heavy metal cruise: German power metal act Primal Fear.

The world's largest metal cruise casts off on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with a stop at Ocho Rios, Jamaica, returning on Tuesday, January 26, 2015 aboard a new ship, Liberty of the Seas (via Royal Caribbean), which will accommodate four stages. 70,000 Tons of Metal promoters UMC launched a new YouTube Channel at this location and continued the countdown of 60 bands for the upcoming 2015 edition of the largest cruise festival, adding the 17th and 18th band: legendary Michael Schenker with the Temple of Rock and Canadian death metal act Kataklysm.

Grave Digger Releasing Wine

German heavy metal band Grave Digger today presents its own "Return Of The Reaper" red wine. Ordering information is available at this location.

The wine is also available in an exclusive special edition with the upcoming album "Return Of The Reaper" (due out July 14th in the U.K. & July 15th USA/CAN via Napalm Records) delivered in a coffin with signed autograph card and guitar pick. Axel Ritt comments:

"For us it was important to provide the local aspect. It makes no sense to rent a winery anywhere in the world just to stick our label on it and otherwise have no relationship to the product. We decided on a winery region which is located very close to the band's location.

"Head of the winery, Michel Schott has not only a great affinity to metal, he also looks just like a metalhead and is singer of metal band. Therefore, the intersection between band and winery was much larger than it's normally the case." More...

Legendary German metal act Grave Digger announced that the band's 17th studio release will be entitled "Return of the Reaper." The album will be released via Napalm Records on the following release schedule:

Grave Digger To Release New Album In July

German power metal veterans Grave Digger announced that the band will release a new album on July 11th via Napalm Records. More information on the yet untitled release is expected soon. The band revealed the new logo (seen below) which will appear on the cover artwork. The 15th full length studio effort is the follow up to 2012's "Clash of the Gods" (see review here).
