Killing Joke premiered the killer video for "Euphoria" from the critically lauded "Pylon" album. The clip can be viewed via Noisey at this location (also in the player below).
This amazing visual should take the sting off the fact that the band had to regretfully postpone a planned Winter 2016 headline tour of North America. Stay tuned for more Killing Joke news. But first, immerse yourself fully in "Euphoria."
Good Fight Music announces a special treat to kick off 2016: coming up on January 8th, the label will release "Love Like Blood," a limited cassette single from New Jersey vets The Banner.
The single features The Banner's new cover of Killing Joke's 1985 anthem, "Love Like Blood," and Norfolk, Virginia industrial act hERETICS iN tHE lAB's new remix of "Send Me Down," a song off The Banner's latest album, "Greying."
1) Love Like Blood (Killing Joke)
2) Send Me Down (hERETICS iN tHE lAB remix)
Followers of The Banner will not be surprised to find the "shadowy, metallic hardcore antiheroes" (in the words of Decibel Magazine) paying respects to Killing Joke. Standouts of the Jersey scene since the early '00s, The Banner was ahead of the curve in bringing goth/industrial elements into hardcore. More...

"Prong is very excited about the upcoming release of our new record, 'Songs From The Black Hole,'" says frontman Tommy Victor. "We are equally excited about the artwork and packaging."

In celebration of the band's thirty-fifth anniversary, Killing Joke today unveils a latest video single in the form of “Corporate Elect.” The tune comes by way of the band’s "MMXII" full-length released last year via Spinefarm Records and serves as a taster of the band’s three-CD anthology — "The Singles Collection 1979-2012."
Conceived, filmed and directed by Mikee Goodman, the video is only the fourth official clip sanctioned by the band in the past few years, following “In Excelsis, the animated “European Super State,” and the “In Cythera” clips in which the band have barely appeared.
Notes Goodman: "This video has been my biggest creative challenge yet. I had never previously met Jaz Coleman, but was blown away by the powerful and passionate performance he delivered. I did not sleep properly for five weeks. Now I have, I have looked at it again with fresh eyes. And smiled. I was honored to be asked to make a music video for Killing Joke and so pleased to hear they liked it." More...
In celebration of the soon-to-be-released three disc anthology and North American tour, Decibel Magazine is offering up a rare stream of Killing Joke's “Timewave” demo.
Check it out through Decibel here or in the player below. Previously unreleased, the track was recorded during the "Absolute Dissent" studio sessions and comes by way of "The Singles Collection 1979-2012." The following press release was also issued about the collection:
"Capturing Killing Joke’s enormous ever-evolving story with a series of dark, apocalyptic songs that have successfully combined disco, funk and shamanic wisdom with the dark side of the punk rock fall-out, The Singles Collection 1979-2012 offers up thirty-three career-spanning singles over two CDs with an additional third disc of rarities, including previously unreleased studio tracks.
"The three-CD version will be limited in number, reverting to two CDs containing the singles tracks. The Singles Collection 1979-2012 is set for release via Spinefarm/Universal on May 14, 2013 with the digital version dropping two weeks prior on April 30th.
"As a precursor to the release, Killing Joke will embark on a North American run of live dates set to commence April 19th in New York City. The special tour will coast through ten more cities before coming to a close on May 5th in Los Angeles. See the updated itinerary below." More...

Killing Joke will celebrate the band's 35th anniversary in style next year with the release of "The Singles Collection 1979-2012" and a world tour set to commence in Europe this coming March. 2013 will also see the band release a new studio album. The following press release was issued about the band's upcoming activity:
"With a fierce intelligence combined with a thirst for esoteric knowledge that matches a sound that is visceral and almost spiritual in its primal spirit, Killing Joke are like no other. This is a group spawned from punk rock that set out on one of the most remarkable and idiosyncratic journeys ever. Their influence has been enormous, with an unlikely roll-call of musicians taking their cues from the KJ catalog, from Nirvana to most modern American metal to many DJs and dance music mavericks. Few, however have come close to matching the band’s innate power.
"The Singles Collection 1979-2012, set for release via Spinefarm/Universal on April 16, 2013, captures their ever-evolving story with a series of dark, apocalyptic songs that have successfully combined disco, funk and shamanic wisdom with the dark side of the punk fall-out. The Singles Collection 1979-2012 will be released in three formats: as a digital download, a limited edition 3-CD set and a super deluxe edition." More...

Today Decibel Magazine brings you the song “In Cythera,” from Killing Joke’s upcoming "MMXII" full-length. The album is set for North American release next Tuesday, October 30th, 2012 through Spinefarm Records. Check out the song right here. The following press release was also issued:
"The songs – 11 in total --are great washes of sound; a death disco with mammoth slabs of guitar that soundtracks our dangerous times. It’s an end-of-time album that somehow finds moments of optimism in the downward swirl of the planet. Finding hope in the apocalypse, this album just could be Killing Joke’s magnum opus.
"At a time when the news is on fast-forward and the planet seems to be descending into lunacy, who better than Killing Joke to reflect such a sentiment? When their original lineup of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth and Big Paul reconvened in 2008 after working together intermittently, that strange voodoo once again filled the room. Individually, they have a power, but together they have something sulphurous and strong that few bands can match. Killing Joke are not an average band with an average agenda; they lock the door and let the ritual commence, and MMXII is the result." More...
October 30th, 2012 sees the North American release of Killing Joke’s new album, "MMXII," through Spinefarm Records. The following press release was issued about the album:
"2012 is the perfect year for Killing Joke to be releasing an album that is as dense and dark as the surrounding swirls of madness in the world. At a time when the news is on fast-forward and the planet seems to be descending into lunacy, who better than Killing Joke to reflect such a sentiment?
"When their original lineup of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth and Big Paul reconvened in 2008 after working together intermittently, that strange voodoo once again filled the room. Individually, they have a power, but together they have something sulphurous and strong that few bands can match. Killing Joke are not an average band with an average agenda; they lock the door and let the ritual commence, and MMXII is the result.
"MMXII’s 11 tracks are an avalanche of sound -- empowering whilst jolting you awake. They are as fascinating as chatting with Coleman, as he talks of future humans living forever but with no emotions, and of the Age Of Aquarius and the cycles of time, the shift in the earth’s electro-magnetic field, the end of extreme capitalism, the Arab Spring and how his trips to Cairo to record music have added to his belief that when Cairo falls everywhere else follows… MMXII is possibly Killing Joke’s best album ever; a dense and multi-layered work. The songs are great washes of sound – a death disco with huge slabs of guitar that soundtracks these dangerous times. It’s an end-of-time album that somehow finds moments of optimism in the downward swirl of the planet. Finding hope in the apocalypse, this album just could be their masterpiece."
Coleman comments: “I can’t see the point contemplating extreme life extinction -- it’s good for nothing. It’s nihilism in the absolute even considering it.” This kind of thinking sets the tone for the record, with 2012 and the state of flux the key issue. “It’s in many different calendars – the great unveiling, the sky and the earth coming together. It’s a significant date. Everything is speeding up. It’s not just our minds shrinking. We are heading towards the Eschaton and no-one really knows what’s going to happen.” More...
The Asymmetry Festival will be taking place from May 3rd - 5th in Poland, with full details available here. The following press release was issued about the fest:
"Asymmetry Festival is a unique event on the Central European scale. Successfully organized since four years, draws fans of the alternative music scene not only from Poland, but Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary and many other neighbouring countries as well. The festival constantly develops its formula in continuous searches for new music genres – genres which defy labelling. The event will take place, for the first time, in a special location on the map of Wroclaw – the XIXc. building of the Browar Mieszczanski [Bourgeois Brewery], which since many years is an important cultural point of the city.
"Apart from the location, the assumptions and priorities in attitude towards the invited artists have changed as well. Among the 40 bands performing there, there is a numerous group of innovative projects, which are difficult to come across on any European festival stage. So side by side with the legendary Sleep, Killing Joke, Red Fang or Amenra, the guests of Asymmetry will also witness performances of all-star groups, created exclusively to in order to open the artistic floodgates of musical visions and the need to evolve.
"Let yourself be carried away by the fun. Come to Wroclaw and become witnesses of something huge."

Sweden's Dead By April has issued the following statement about the band's cover of "Love Like Blood" by Killing Joke:
"Don't worry boys and girls, 'Love like blood' is NOT like some seem to believe a sign of what's going to become of Dead by April. On the contrary 'Love like blood' is an exclusive cover song by the band 'Killing Joke' made for a tribute album due to later this year including Metallica, Foo fighters etc. so simply a homage to a cool band!
"People have been emailing and commenting about how the new song doesn't 'sound like us' as much, well there you have your answer! Hope you will enjoy the song anyways since we thinks it`s great and was a fun cover to make! New DBA songs are right now in the making and they are bigger, heavier and more dynamic than ever before! That`s a promise!"
