Accept Posts "Restless And Live" Trailer

The metal icons from Accept will release "Restless And Live" in early 2017. This package will include the entire show Aceept played at Bang Your Head!!! Festival 2015 on Blu-ray/DVD plus two Live CDs with different recordings during the European tour.

To provide you with a taster of this new release, the band led by axe man Wolf Hoffmann today presents a first trailer. In this clip, Wolf and Accept producer Andy Sneap talk about the set list and new as well as old classics from Accept. Hoffmann comments:

"When you do a live show you obviously have an opener and an ending, and in between you only have a certain amount of songs that you can choose from, because especially at festivals you only get a limited amount of time to play. When we do headline shows we have a little more room to play with and we can pick a few more songs.

"What is interesting to me is, that when you listen to the stuff back to back there doesn't seem to be any discrepancy between the stuff that we recorded or wrote 30 years ago and our more recent material! And the fans tell me the same thing, it really blends together rather well." More...

Wolf Hoffmann Releasing New Album

Accept’s guitar powerhouse Wolf Hoffmann is getting ready to release his 2nd solo album entitled "Headbangers Symphony."

New full-length album "Headbangers Symphony" will be released on July 1st, 2016 by Nuclear Blast. The label comments:

"Wolf Hoffmann has a passion. His life-long love and dedication to heavy metal music is documented in dozens of albums spanning four decades with his long time heavy metal band Accept. But beyond heavy metal, Wolf has an incessant craving for the classics, yes, the ones written decades and centuries ago.

"Classical music has always been an influence - albeit limited - on Accept's Teutonic approach to rock and heavy metal. However, it wasn't until 1997 during an extended hiatus from Accept, that Wolf Hoffmann finally had the chance to fully explore and fulfil this interest by recording his first astounding solo album ‘Classical’, a record filled with his rock guitar driven interpretations of some of classical music’s most loved compositions."

Hoffmann comments: "I have always incorporated classical music in my song writing with Accept, especially with ‘Metal Heart,’ but I constantly felt there was so much more that I could do and I did not want to overload Accept or force it in any way. I always knew I could make a whole record of it and that’s how the first record ‘Classical’ was born. Even today, fans tell me that they are still listening to it, that's why it is so fantastic now to do another one." More...

"Moments like this put everything in perspective. We dedicate the show tonight to all the ones who lost their lives but also to the ones who have to live on." More...

Accept Crowd Surfs... A Museum?

Original founding members of German heavy metal band Accept, Peter Baltes and Wolf Hoffmann, made their first stage dive and crowd surfing in their lifetime on July 18th. Where did it happen? Well, as unexpected as it can get - at the Holcim Werkforum und Fossilienmuseum. Nuclear Blast had this to say about the event:

"Sometimes, it seems, is just to accept your fate and realize that it is never too late for anything. Keeping an open mind can put you into unexpected situations, which allows also for history to be written. This is exactly what happened to Baltes and Hoffmann a few days ago when they paid a visit to the exhibition Rock Fossils at the Werkforum in Dotternhausen, southern Germany.

"The exhibition is an interesting amalgamation of fossils and music featuring sculptures of extinct creatures named after heavy metal, punk and rock icons. This travelling exhibition was the brainchild of palaeontologist Jesper Milàn from Geomuseum Faxe in Denmark, modelmaker Esben Horn from 10Tons Aps and Rune Fjord Studio.

"The exhibition opened for the first time in 2013 at Geomuseum Faxe (Denmark) where King Diamond turned up and revealed the model of the 400 million years old worm named in his honour, 'Kingnites diamond.' After Faxe, the exhibition traveled to the Natural History Museum in Oslo (Norway), the Natural History Museum in Bern (Switzerland), before it ended up in Dotternhausen with the grand opening ceremonies taking place on July 18th. Accept Announces Festival Appearances

Accept is gearing up to release "Blind Rage" worldwide on the 15th of August. Nuclear Blast has also now issued the following announcement about upcoming festival appearances by the band:

"There is a storm brewing! The message of the international press represents an unanimous opinion: Accept's 'Best of all albums ever!' Accept is a phenomenon. The current news of success for the new album sets the bar high and demonstrate in a powerful manner that Accept does not only belong to the elite of the heavy metal scene over decades, but actually are on the fast lane.

"A big masterpiece entails big moments. In September, Accept starts the 'Blind Rage World Tour Part 1.' Prior to the world tour, Accept exclusively enters the stage for two mega events in Europe.

"Wacken 2014/Germany and Woodstock 2014/Poland are certainly the biggest open air festivals in the world in their genre and therefore a worthy stage for Accept.

"Three big brands cross their way on one weekend; each taken separately a highlight with characteristics like: tradition, fan solidarity, and even more up to day as it has ever been before.

"Accept is going to play exclusively these two festivals in front of a gigantic crowd and the band will give the people at the Wacken and Woodstock festival an unforgettable live experience. We are looking forward to this hot weekend full of superlatives in August." More...

Dave Blass Comments On Accept Video Shoot

Accept will release new studio album "Blind Rage" on August 15th and last week the band revealed the video clip for the "Stampede" single, which can be seen below.

Now the video's director Dave Blass, an Emmy nominated production designer and director, reports from the shooting:

“It’s 4 in the morning and I am in a van with one of the hottest metal bands in the world Accept. But right now, they are one of the coldest metal bands in the world because it’s -¬-7 degrees out and we had to rush back into the van to warm up. It was so cold that they couldn’t hold their guitar pics, and the rocky peaks they were climbing over still had a slick layer of ice on them. When we scouted the location 3 weeks ago it was a nice toasty 33 and we were worried that they were going to roast in the sun. We would all love that heat right about now.

"This is the third video that my team and I have done with Accept going back to 'Teutonic Terror'. Wolf Hoffmann and I had met years before their reunion and I had told him that if they ever wanted to do a video that we should get together. With 'Teutonic Terror' we wanted to go with a Classic Metal video. No story, no visual effects, just the band with brand new lead singer Mark Tornillo, some fire and Wolf doing his guitar solo up on a tank. I wanted to keep it about the music, but with some iconic imagery which is why we closed the video on the twin burning flying V guitars that was a call back to the »Restless And Wild« album. Next we tried to shake it up with 'Pandemic', which we shot the morning after the 14 hour 'Teutonic Terror' shoot.

"The band was about to embark on a massive worldwide tour, so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get them for another shoot. We had no concept for the video when we shot it, we just did a clean capture of the individual band members on Green Screen, and knew we could do a wide variety of things. I didn’t want to do the standard deal of putting the band on a virtual set that looks like a cheap video game, so we later came up with the concept to make the video look like you were reading a graphic novel, which wasn’t something that had been done before.

"The overall theme of the Accept videos have always been about the band and the music. No matter how many shows the band does, there are fans all around the world who never get a chance to see them perform, and these videos fill that void. Even so, you still have to mix it up a bit. Even tanks and fire get boring after a bit. So here we are, freezing our asses off in the high desert of California at the Devil’s Punchbowl, a rock formation that looks like it’s from another world. It is actually. It’s right around the corner from where Captain Kirk fought the guy in the green lizard suit in the old Star Trek TV series. More...
