Breed 77 has checked in with the following announcement about vocalist Paul Isola missing upcoming tour dates:
"Unfortunately Paul is not going to be able to join us for the first few dates of our tour - he is dealing with some serious personal issues and although it kills him to miss out, it is impossible for him to make it to the first shows.
"He appreciates your understanding and we would like to respect his privacy and give him the time he needs to sort stuff out. He will be back in time from Bloodstock onwards and worry not, the band and our friend Rui lopez will be taking up vocal duties!
"Thanks for continuing to believe in Breed 77 and as always, hold on tight for the ride as we set the world on fire! See you at the front."
The organizers of the Bloodstock festival have checked in with the following announcement about confirming more bands for this year's edition:
"Here at Bloodstock HQ we are excited to announce a whole batch of new additions for all three stages. There’s only seven weeks left to the most metal weekend of the year!! Have you got your tickets yet?!
"Opening Friday’s main stage, and fresh off the back of the release of ‘IV’, their first album in ten years, are British post metallers, Earthzone 9. The band are stoked to find their way to Catton Park’s hallowed ground, commenting 'Earthtone 9 have never played Bloodstock, so we could not be more excited! It's one of our only gigs this year, so we are truly going to make the most of it. There may well be some drinking!' You can pick up a free download of their single, ‘Horizon’s End’ at this location.
"On Sunday’s Sophie Lancaster stage, Sacred Mother Tongue get added. Having received huge plaudits for their second album, ‘Out of the Darkness’, and live shows, the Northampton based band are building quite the name for themselves. Check out the video for ‘A Light Will Shine’, here. More...

Breed 77 has checked in with the following update about the release of a new album:
"Hello friends. Some of you may have heard that the release of our new album, 'The Evil Inside' has been pushed back to the new year. This is because we have just signed to a new label - Global/Demolition and have been given a great opportunity to scale things up a bit. Don't worry - we will be keeping busy!
"We will be dropping the first single around Halloween, it's called 'Low' and we will be releasing the video for that soon! In November we will set out on tour with Fozzy and Soil - this trek across the UK and Europe will take us close to Christmas (that is if the world doesn't end!)
"Those of you who have pledged for the advance copy of the album will get a belated xmas present in January - one month ahead of the release…we apologise for keeping you waiting so long, but we promise it will be worth it!
"We are trying to join up all the dots and map out a plan for the years to come, sometimes it's fine balance we have to keep - we are dying for all of you out there to hear this monster of a record! It's frustrating - I know, believe me….but hang in there brothers and sisters, we need you to believe now more than ever! Spread the word! Share! Now is the time to bend ears and opinions, come experience it live! Go tell your friends…. that something wicked this way comes….." More...
American heavy metal band Fozzy, led by WWE Superstar Chris Jericho and Stuck Mojo founder Rich Ward, has announced that the group will be embarking on a tour of the United Kingdom this November, where Fozzy will share the headlining slot with Chicago hard rock outfit SOiL, as well as British alternative metal group Breed 77.
"The U.K. has always been Fozzy's second home, and after the amazing experience we had rocking Download 2012, we couldn’t wait to return to the U.K.," adds frontman Chris Jericho. "That’s why this tour with Soil is so huge for us. To be able to come back to England, Scotland and Wales with a band of their stature is going to blow away our fans, their fans, and make new fans for both of us! Mark my words... for excitement, energy and pure value, Fozzy vs SOiL is going to be THE tour of the fall!!" More...
Breed77 has checked in with the following update about upcoming material and acoustic tour dates:
"Breed77 explode back into action with Pledge campaign for an exclusive acoustic EP ‘Under The Skin‘ and their new album, ‘The Evil Inside‘ as well as an acoustic tour of the UK in April!
"The Gibraltarian born, London-based rockers are back with a vengeance. After extensive touring of their last album, ‘Insects’ which took them from Mexico to Japan, the boys have decided to do things differently this time round…. Teaming up with Pledge Music who help artists and their fans interact during the creation of an album in a totally new way – and always being receptive to what fans want, the decision was made to release two records. Firstly – and exclusive to Pledge – is ‘Under The Skin’ a collection of 8 acoustic tracks, encompassing versions of classic breed songs from their chart-bothering back catalogue, as well as a few surprises as the band tackle some well known rock standards.
"The Evil Inside, the fifth studio album from Breed77 will also be available to pre-order via Pledge and on general release in June. A dark, brooding affair, The Evil Inside is the band’s most introspective work to date. Not ones to rest on their laurels, B77 have switched it up again with a rockier, more melodic offering."
“The pace hasn’t slowed, so much as changed, this album has everything - stomping rhythms, haunting grooves, trippy breakdowns…but it’s dark, so dark!!” says front man Paul Isola. More...

BREED 77, who originate from Gibraltar, follow their recent triumphant No. 1 German rock club chart position with another No. 1 radio coup in the USA. The Latino rock pile driver "Alive" has become the most requested on air track on KMBY-X 103.9 Revolution in Monterey/Salinas/Santa Cruz, California.
Says X 103.9 program director Byron Cooke: "This is unheard of — BREED 77 are an unsigned act in the U.S. and 'Alive' is hotter on the phones than INCUBUS, TOOL, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS or MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE! We originally picked this track up on import but it has just taken off of air — the phone lines are HOT and the listeners just love this record!"
On the back of this airplay BREED 77 are now scheduled to perform at X 103.9's Jingle Balls show with PAPA ROACH, LUPE FIASCO and THE TEAM on December 6 at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. They are looking forward to bringing their hard-edged unique Latino rock sound to the U.S.
After a sold-out U.K. national tour, BREED 77's second studio album, "In My Blood", also debuted at No. 1 on Germany's MRC album chart, making it the most played album in German rock clubs. Last week the album saw off competition from releases by rock heavyweights TRIVIUM, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and the DEFTONES to land the top spot.
BREED 77, who originate from Gibraltar (an overseas territory of the United Kingdom), have released the video for their new single, "Blind":
"Blind" displays many elements of BREED 77's highly developed sound; driving Latino rhythms, accomplished musicianship and high voltage modern rock. The infectious single is taken from the band's Ron St. Germain-produced (TOOL, SOUNDGARDEN, CREED) CD, "In My Blood (En Mi Sangre)", due for release next week in conjunction with the "In My Blood" album tour. The album's U.K. release (via Albert Productions U.K., the hard-hitting rock label and world-wide publisher of AC/DC) will be followed by releases in Australia (by SonyBMG), Europe and South Africa. BREED 77, who originate from Gibraltar (an overseas territory of the United Kingdom), are set to unleash new single, "Blind", on September 4. "Blind" displays many elements of BREED 77's highly developed sound; driving Latino rhythms, accomplished musicianship and high voltage modern rock. The infectious single is taken from the band's Ron St. Germain-produced (TOOL, SOUNDGARDEN, CREED) CD, "In My Blood (En Mi Sangre)", due for release one week later in conjunction with the "In My Blood" album tour. The album's U.K. release (via Albert Productions U.K., the hard-hitting rock label and world-wide publisher of AC/DC) will be followed by releases in Australia (by SonyBMG), Europe and South Africa.
The release of "In My Blood (En Mi Sangre)" follows 2004's breakthrough album "Cultura", which spawned three Top 40 singles and sold in excess of 30,000 copies. This new record shows a progression on BREED 77's trademark Latino sound that has been carefully nurtured over the last few years.

The nominations for the fourth annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards — which this year takes place on Monday, June 12 at Koko in Camden, North London — were recently announced. In keeping with the "Valhalla" theme of this year's awards, Metal Hammer magazine have teamed up with the crew of the "Hammer of the Gods", an authentic full-size replica Viking longboat, to launch both the awards on June 12 and the team's cross channel row, which takes place on the weekend of June 3 to raise money for charity Task Brazil.
Leading the field for nominations are longstanding rock and metal purveyors Roadrunner Records, with a staggering total of 14 nominations for the label that is home to acts as diverse as SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD and award-nominated DRAGONFORCE. Coming in a very close second for overall nominations is major label powerhouse Warner Music with an impressive 11 awards for their roster of breakthrough U.S. rock bands MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and AVENGED SEVENFOLD (a favourite of Radio 1's Jo Whiley), as well as Valley boys FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND and Finnish rockers H.I.M. In a complete whitewash of the category, Warner Music have secured four of the five nominations in the "Best Video" category, with the fifth and final nomination going to Roadrunner.
Going head-to-head with a joint total of four nominations are Sony and Universal, while EMI have secured two nominations for metal stalwarts and British institution IRON MAIDEN. Coming on strong is independent challenger to the rock throne Visible Noise marginally trails Sony and Universal with three nominations including "Best UK Band" and "Album of the Year", both for BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. U.S. alternative rockers COHEED & CAMBRIA have surprised many with 3 nominations including appearances in the prestigious "Best Album" and "Best International Band" categories.
