"It took us a couple of years to find a musical identity," guitarist Peter Lindgren tells Omar Perez of Orlando Weekly. "Prog rock taught us that a song can be 15 minutes long and doesn't have to have a classical structure, and that it can be an adventure."

Currently on tour in the U.S. with DEVILDRIVER and MOONSPELL, the guys have just confirmed a show in Amman, Jordan on March 12th. The venue is still TBA.

Former Coal Chamber front man Dez Fafara's new band DEVILDRIVER will be recorded in New York City on February 27th. The footage will be used in an upcoming episode of "Headbangers Ball" on MTV2. They will be playing Irving Plaza in NYC later that night with OPETH. The date for this footage to air is not known yet, but should be announced soon.
To add a little bit of my opinion to this article, everyone out there should check out this tour. OPETH is an extremely talented band, whether you like them for their raw metallic riffs, or for the pure genius and challenging intricacies put forth in their music. Along with DEVILDRIVER, MOONSPELL is also on this tour.
Sweden's OPETH reportedly played a five-song set in Calgary, Alberta Wednesday night (January 21), with a drum technician filling in behind the kit for Martin Lopez, who is said to be still at home in Sweden recovering from a recent bout of panic attacks. OPETH's next show is scheduled to take place Friday, January 23 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia.
