The Heavy Sands 5-Day Metal Festival 2009 will take place from July 8th - 12th in Cagilari, Italy. The most recent bands to be confirmed for the festival are Chaoswave, Mnemic, and Kaledon.
Other confirmed bands include Kernel, Screaming Shadows, Broken Melody, Arhythmia, and Burning Ground.

Chaoswave has issued the following statement about acquiring a new full time bass player:
"As many of you know, for some time now our good friend Michele Mura has been the session bass player of Chaoswave. After many months together with many shows and smaller tours, we all figured it was about time that Michele joined the band. So here's a big warm welcome to Michele from the rest of Chaoswave. Now it's "cazzi tuoi" as the Italians would say (literally translated "your dicks")!

Italian/Danish power-thrash metal band, CHAOSWAVE, has inked a deal with the American label Nightmare Records. The group's new album, "Dead Eye Dreaming", will be released in North America on November 25. The European release date will be announced soon.
"Dead Eye Dreaming" was mixed by Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND) and features a special guest appearance by Steve Smyth, former guitarist of NEVERMORE and TESTAMENT. More...
Italian/Danish power-thrash metal act CHAOSWAVE will enter the studio late November to record 10 songs for the follow-up to 2006's "The White Noise Within". Songtititles set to appear on the CD include "Rise", "Fork Tongues and Foul Times", "The Evident", "10 years of Denial", "Blind Eye Focus" and "Dead Eye Dream". The band is also working on a cover song to include on special editions of the album.
CHAOSWAVE recently returned from a succesful Danish mini-tour where they were supported by COMPOS MENTIS. A tour report can be found on the band's web site.
Currently unsigned, CHAOSWAVE is available to negotiate with interested labels.
Italian/Danish power-thrash metal act CHAOSWAVE has posted a new song, entitled "Rise", on its MySpace page. The track comes off the band's recently completed four-song promotional CD, "Fork Tongues and Foul Times", which is currently being shipped to record labels. The CD was mixed by renowned Danish producer Jacob Hansen (MASTODON, DESTRUCTION, MERCENARY) and contains four songs to be included on CHAOSWAVE's sophomore album:

CHAOSWAVE's debut album, "The White Noise Within", was released in December 2005 via Holland's DVS Records. The band previously released a four-song CD, "Chaoswave", which was mixed by Jacob Hansen (ABORTED, HATESPHERE, RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR) at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark.
Italian metallers CHAOSWAVE will enter the studio on August 11 to record three new songs for a promotional CD, to be used to procure a record deal for the band's second full-length album. According to a posting on the group's web site, "The new material can best be described as CHAOSWAVE x 10. More melody, more speed, more brutality. A lot of double bass, a few blast beasts here and there, more aggressive vocals, more melodic vocals, more solos. In short terms, a bit more of everything you found on the debut." The songs set to be recorded are "Picture Perfect", "The Evident" and "Two Shadows Cast". The band will be performing one or two of these tracks on their upcoming tour in September. Italian/Danish modern heavy metallers CHAOSWAVE are currently in the studio recording their debut full-length for the Dutch label DVS Records, under the working title of "Wastelands". 'Swept Away', a track from the debut, has in 6 months been downloaded more than 5000 times from the band's homesite. A European and American release is expected for November.
Guitarist Henrik "Guf" Rangstrup of the Danish progressive gothic metal band SINPHONIA will be releasing an EP with the Italian act CHAOSWAVE on November 7 via STD distribution. The four-song CD, "Chaoswave", was mixed by Jacob Hansen (ABORTED, HATESPHERE, RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR) at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark and is said to combine elements of heavy, thrash and progressive metal.
