Nahtrunar Releasing "Symbolismus"

Altare Productions is proud to present the debut album of Austria's Nahtrunar, titled "Symbolismus" and set for international release on June 22nd. The label had this to say:

"Nahtrunar excels at a black metal sound that is both classic and individualist, traditional yet boundless. Mixing somber, exceptionally stirring acoustic interludes with cold 'n' otherworldly BM of an authentically '90s vintage, Nahtrunar opesn portals of the imagination across 'Symbolismus' and allow the listener to roam those hinterlands wildly and at will.

"Appropriately, 'Symbolismus' is conceptually dedicated to the nights at the turn of the year, known as 'Rauhnächte' in old European customs and traditions. During these nights, dreams and visions are of prophetic quality; a deep sense of reverence is in every move we make, while the earth is cloaked in the longest nights.

"The creative material and conceptual fundament which was later on forged into Nahtrunar's 'Symbolismus' was received during the winter of 2014/2015, especially during the Rauhnächte and the winter solstice, partly on Austrian soil and partly on travels through wintry Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. Not all of Nahtrunar's lyrics adhere strictly to the Rauhnächte, but this sinister, wild, and magical time is still the flesh, blood, and spirit, of every note and every word on this record. More...
