Michigan's Tension Head has issued the following brief update about a free show alongside an AC/DC tribute band:
"Free show this Friday in Bay City, MI! Tension head will be opening for the AC/DC Tribute Band 'Hells Bells' @ The Prime Event Center! Doors open at 7:00 and we'll be on by 7:30! This show is 18 and up! Oh Yeah!"

Michigan's Tension Head has checked in with the following update about canceling all of the band's previously scheduled tour dates for June and July:
"Tension Head regret to announce that due to a medical issue within the band, we have been forced to cancel our scheduled dates in June & July... We apologize to our fans for any inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding regarding this matter."

Michigan's Tension Head has issued the following update about canceling their previously scheduled show on June 17th:
"Planet Rock has decided to cancel the show on the Flyer here due to lack of interest for Mary Magdalan...no worries Battle Creek, they still want Tension Head to come, just on a bigger and better show and I am in the process of re-booking with them, so stay tuned! Oh Yeah!"

Saginaw, Michigan's Tension Head have posted a video clip online of their performance of the track "The Bear." The video, which can be viewed below, was recorded at the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan.
Update: According to the festival organizers, they are in negotiations with Tension Head and the band's appearance is not yet confirmed. A full release including the festival headliners will be announced shortly.
Michigan's Tension Head has issued the following statement about performing at the 2010 edition of the Gods of Metal festival:
"Tension Head has just been invited to play the Gods of Metal Festival 2010 in Italy this Summer on Saturday, June 5th @ 6:00 p.m. and will also be touring the rest of the motherland for a minimum of 3 weeks! For those of you who don't know what this Festival is all about, it is the biggest festival in Italy year round, period! Gods of Metal has been going strong since 1997, last year alone (2009), big national/international bands like Slipknot, Motley Crue, Static-X, Down, Mastodon, Voivod, Dream Theater, Carcass, and many others rocked the stages! Told ya'll big News was comin for Tension Head, it's finally happening! Stay tuned as more info is sure to come! Oh Fuck Yeah!!!"

Saginaw, Michigan based metallers Tension Head have issued the following statement about canceling their January 16th tour date:
"For reasons why, I have no idea, but I sure as hell am not gonna let some so called Promoter ruin our rep as far as never Cancelling a show in 7 fuckin years! I booked this gig back in late November with him, and now he's sayin that he had no idea about this show, lmfao! For the first time ever, I got a return phone call back from this guy last night, since I left him a voice mail sayin that I heard through the grapevine that The Rock Spot wasn't even gonna open until Feb, (even that is a maybe) and that if he didn't get back with me, he'd have alot of pissed of people at him, funny how these things work...when your ass is on the line, now all of the sudden you care?
"Fuck it, I ain't gonna give ya'll his number, but I sure as hell am gonna give ya'll his name and his MySpace (Company Name), I don't play this shit, not for one fuckin minute! So for those who made plans Saturday night like I did (some even had Hotel Rooms!) for this show, I DO apologize, but like I said, if you got beef, hit this guy up and tell what ya think about bad promotion! Bands, I wouldn't suggest workin with this guy, I never will again, and I am a Man of my word! Oh Fuck Yeah!!! Lew @ this location."

Sarah Colton, the daughter of MichiganMetal.com founder and former AMPUTIST/APOSTLE OF PERVERSION/DEFCON 666 vocalist Bob Colton, passed away Monday, October 25. In her honor and to help pay for funeral and headstone expenses, some of the best bands Michigan has to offer have donated their time to perform at the Sarah Colton Memorial Concert on Satuday, November 13 at The Captains Cove in Saginaw Michigan. Bands scheduled to appear are SUMMON, THE MISCREANTS, NEIGHBORHOOD MUSCLE, CLETUS, SOUL DRIVEN, FORSAKEN, TENSION HEAD, DEFCON 666, DOWNFALL, 2ND SYSTEM and OMINOUS.
Everyone in attendance will be eligible to win great prizes, from band CDs and shirts, tattoo and piercing gift certificates, concert tickets, a 50/50 cash raffle and much more. Prizes are being donated by WKQZ Z93.5 radio in Saginaw, Drunken Monkey Tattoo, Michigan Metal, and more. Drunken Monkey Tattoo will be on hand doing tattoos at the venue, with all proceeds going to the memorial fund. The cost of admission is only $5.00 at the door. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and will be all ages untill 9:00 p.m., after 9:00 p.m. is 21+.
