Javeen Soysa of Sri Lankan Thrash Metal band Tantrum has issued the following update.
With all the controversy surrounding us after myself & Tharaka officially joining Stigmata I'm sure many of you have a lot of questions. Avoiding getting into much detail, bottom line being Tantrum has not disbanded & as far as we see it definitely not in the next years to come, that’s right “years!’ Haven’t been around in awhile??? Yes true, as we have been trying to figure out ways to record our full length album & working on new tunes & jamming with new guitarist Malinda & getting our selves fit for the job. So friends, fans, peers, lovers & haters! Hope we clarified the rumors going around.
With that thought we got some new stuff to show you & a few gigs lined up.
Tantrum will be organizing a show celebrating 5 years in the music scene in Sri Lanka, on the 21st June @ the Keg (Excel World) along with Funeral In Heaven, Merlock, LOA & Forsaken. Check back for more details SOON.
Cheers & Metal all the way!!"

Forsaken's new album shall be released by Scotland's Golden Lake Productions in October 2005 and shall be titled 'Dominaeon'. Lyrically, 'Dominaeon' will centre around a core concept that explores various spiritual themes related to the Christian faith. The band is presently concluding the finishing touches to the song-writing process and will start recording at Temple Studios, Mistra Bay, Malta on 4th July 2005. All the tracks for the album are new and were composed over the past year or so.
Song titles include 'Dominaeon', 'Obsidian Dreams', 'Daylight Dies', 'Kenosis', 'Wretched of the Earth' and 'Resurgam'. The artwork for the album was commissioned to Jowita Kaminska who has also been responsible for the cover artwork of the recent Manilla Road, Exodus and Attacker releases. Fans can check out the cover artwork on Jowita's site - www.jowita-kaminska.com.
As in Forsaken's recent releases the lay-out for the album will be done by Chris Zarb. Forsaken fans can be rest assured that this album will see the band plunging deeper in heavy doom metal soundscapes interwoven with the band's penchant for carving and exploring innovative territory. Forsaken, June 05.
Maltese doomsters Forsaken have posted the following update:
"Regrettably, it is being announced that after more than 6 years of association, Forsaken and Mario Ellul, the band's keyboardist since 1998, have parted company. The decision matured due to difficulties in securing a band rehearsal schedule which did not conflict with Mario's commitments with his main band Weeping Silence. While wishing Mario all the very best for his future musical endeavours, Forsaken would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Mario for his significant contribution to the band throughout these past six years.
Meanwhile, Forsaken also announce that they have no plans to replace Mario at this early stage and it is anticipated that keyboard duties for the band's next studio album will be handled by present band members. Conversely, however, it is not being excluded that another full-time keyboardist is recruited following the release of the band's much anticipated forthcoming studio album to be released by Golden Lake Productions (Scotland) in 2005.More...
