Ohio progressive black/death metallers LOCUSTA, who expanded their fan base with a successful US summer tour alongside Tennessee black/doom Argentinum Astrum, will perform two local shows this November opening for the likes of Possessed, Marduk, Withered, and Toxic Holocaust (11/5/10) and D.R.I., Deadsea and Salvage (11/18). Marduk has announced the band will be embarking on the "Asian Black Death Redemption 2010" tour, which hit China, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. The currently announced dates are as follows:

Swedish black metallers Marduk are currently readying for their return to the U.S. later this month as part of the "Blackest Of The Black" tour, founded by Danzig front man Glenn Danzig in 2003 as a way to promote extreme bands of his choosing from around the globe. The 2010 edition will officially kick off on October 25th and wind its way through over a dozen cities before making its last stop in mid November. Additional support will be provided by Possessed, Toxic Holocaust and Withered. Marduk will also be doing a handful of headlining shows throughout the tour in Arizona, Oklahoma, Ohio, Iowa, South Dakota, Utah, Nevada and California.

New Jersey based death metal band Funebrarum is the latest act to be confirmed for the 2011 edition of the Maryland Death Fest, which is set to take place from May 27th - 29th in Baltimore. The currently announced lineup is as follows:

Swedish black metal outfit Marduk has announced it's participation in the forthcoming 2011 edition of the Maryland Deathfest. The annual extreme music festival is set to take place May 27th to 29th, 2011 at Sonar in Baltimore.

Atlanta's Withered has issued the following statement about appearing on the upcoming "Blackest of the Black" tour with Danzig, Possessed, Marduk, and Toxic Holocaust:
"Withered is bringing our brand of extreme music and expression to a new audience this fall. The Blackest Of The Black tour is an opportunity that we just couldn’t pass up. It is also a blessing for us after learning the unfortunate news about Behemoth & Nergal. Marduk is the next act in a long list of bands being confirmed for the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise ship metal festival. 70,000 Tons of Metal will sail on January 24th, 2011 aboard the Royal Caribbean “Majesty of the Seas” from Miami, Florida.

Marduk has issued the following update about postponing the previously announced Central America shows due to travel issues:
"Because of misinformation from one of the airlines involed in Marduks travel to Central America the band got uphold and couldnt get on the connection flight. It was totaly the fault of the airline. Marduk had just completed one of the planned three flights to Costa Rica when the problem occured. There was no time to book new flights to make it in time to do the 3 shows.
"The band and booking agency are currently checking options to rebook the shows as soon as possible. Marduk feels very unfortunate for the situation as the band is eager and burning with devotion to march across Central America. More news to be posted as soon as possible."
The Catholic Church of Costa Rica has criticised the Swedish black metal outfit Marduk for their use of blasphemy and religious iconography. Marduk are scheduled to perform in Costa Rica at the Pepper Disco on July 29th, which will be the band's first concert in the country in seven years.
Mario Segura, Catholic priest and spokesperson for the Curia Metropolitana, said "they should have more respect because they are sacred things", referring to the band's use of religious articles, like an inverted cross in its album cover art. Segura said he considers that this type of music and message cannot encourage any good in Costa Rica's youth.
