Yonkers NY’s unique death metal masters from Immolation are very pleased to announce they will be supporting black metal veterans Marduk on upcoming May U.K. dates.
The 4 date run commences with a performance at London’s infamous extreme music event, Incineration Festival (also with Marduk) on May 8th, culminating on May 11th with a final show at The Fleece, Bristol. Commanding front man and bassist Ross Dolan said of the announcement:
"We are very excited to be returning to Europe, supporting and sharing the stage with our good friends and metal brothers in Marduk. We have toured with the Marduk guys many times before in the past and are looking forward to a great tour with some great people. It will be a good one for sure, see you all in May!" More...
Remaining dates on the Marduk / Svart Crown tour have been cancelled, with Svart Crown having this to say about the situation:
"We are finally coming home. The last part of the Marduk Tour has been cancelled due to logisticals reasons explain below (see the Massive Music statement). From our part this is again a big disappointment. We are really frustrated to finish the Profane Tour with an other cancellation. It seems the curse is still there so we are going to take few weeks to thinks about the band future and will let you know soon as possible. The last think that we would like to share, is that we were really honored to share the stage with one the best black metal entity ever: Marduk. The first part of the tour was amazing , great crowd, good venue and good people. An eternal support to Massive Music (Mariusz, Marta, Darek), our crew Tryf & Max and all the band Cvinger, Bio Cancer and Crest Of Darkness."
Massive Music comments: "Dear friends, We are sorry to announce that due to the breakdown of the nightliner we are forced to cancel the 2nd part of Marduk tour. We were doing our best to fix it and play all shows, but we were unlucky with finding new nightliner in this short time. We are very sorry, because cancellation is always last choice and makes expenses for everybody - booking agency, bands and promoters. We'd like to postponed cancelled shows on Spring 2016."
Marduk also had this to say: "Unfortunately the Marduk tour bus has suffered a complete breakdown on the ongoing march throughout Europe. And despite the booking agency's attempts to solve the problem, including trying to rent a new bus through 9 different bus companies, none of them being able to supply a bus in time to make the rest of the tour happen, Massive Music and Marduk have decided to postpone the remaining dates to spring next year. This is totally out of the bands control, and at this point there is nothing more we can do. But... the dates will be rebooked and Marduk will return!" More...

Industrial doom outfit Crown will be playing at this year's edition of the Kaltenbach Open Air Festival (replacing the black metalers of Hellsaw who recently called it quits). Hailing from France, Crown (not to be confused with The Crown) consists of two men and a machine who tune their neutron guitars to the Richter scale, and deliver the sound of a molten universe collapsing.

Black Metal History Month has returned for a fourth installment! This year will see our special time analyze some of the roots of the genre, as well as some of the bleakest and obscene bands to fly the flag of darkness.
Sweden is perhaps best known in the extreme music world for their contribution to death metal, having been the birthplace of such bands as In Flames, Entombed, At The Gates and Katatonia, but they have also made a good contribution to black metal, perhaps most notably thanks to Bathory, one of the earliest influences on the genre. However, one of the more controversial names in the field (which is saying something when talking black metal, believe me) would be a band from the city of Norrköping which go by the name of Marduk.
Marduk was formed by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson, with the intention of creating the most blasphemous and offensive band in the world. They began by fusing death metal with black to create a very extreme sound. They unleashed their sound in 1991 with the release of the demo, "Fuck Me Jesus," before releasing their first full length album, "Dark Endless" the next year. It was well received and the band took to the road to perform across Sweden, expanding their fan base along the way. More...
If you are planning your Summer vacation and are looking for a place where your favourite bands might have a show, where the beer is outrageously cheap, and the landscape is awesome, you might want to try the lands of Transylvania.
We’re talking about a particular place from this region: Rasnov city, placed in the heart of Romania, near the legendary Castle of Dracula.
Here, an international extreme metal festival is to be held August 12th – 15th 2015: the Rockstadt Extreme Fest. The full ineup includes 45 bands with names such as Moonspell, At The Gates, Marduk, Combichrist, Ensiferum, Kataklysm, Carnifex, Taake, Cattle Decapitation, White Walls, Krisiun, Be'lakor, Suicidal Angels, and many more confirmed.
Besides good music, you’ll be able to enjoy urban sports in a special area inside the festival site, see movies in the dedicated outdoor cinema (set-up in collaboration with the Dracula Film Fest), and more. For further details, head over to this location. More...
