Peter Tägtgren of the metal band Pain has issued the following update:
"What the hell is going on?! Well… It’s been a while since the last update and we thought it was about time to let you in on a couple of things."
"The last couple of months every one of us has been pretty busy with anything but PAIN. As you may know Peter has been concentrating on Hypocrisy this year and recently came home from a successful tour in South America. David, who just got signed up with Zildjian, is working for Unique Pyrotechnic along with doing a lot of different stand-in club shows in Sweden. Johan became a dad in August (best wishes from us all), and the more time spent away from PAIN means the more time spent with his family. Michael is working with different side projects along with his work for Digidesign."
"Now, the following months will be dedicated to PAIN and to finish the new songs. Up till today 8 songs are more or less ready to go, and at least 3 or 4 more are needed before we can start recording. Our plans are to start the recordings in late 2010 or early 2011, and have the album ready for a world wide release sometime in May 2011. After that we’re about to hit the road and do as many of the summer festivals as we can. Of course there will be a headline tour as well, and if everything works out we’ll even break new grounds. Work has also begun with designing a new stage set that will be something out of the average." More...

Pain, the band featuring Hypocrisy frontman Peter Tagtren, has issued the following tour report:
"Hello painheads, since the last update we have been very busy. When we were in Köln we realized that our friends in HammerFall and Sabaton were playing at the same time in the same city. So, when we went off stage we jumped into a cab to go to the other venue to see the HammerFall show and to meet them and have a party afterwards. Sabaton did the same thing and went to our arena after their show. When we finally came back to our bus outside the Palladium i met the girl who was making the painting of me and it was ready and looked really good! Sabaton has just left and had left us a bottle with some wierd strong and spicy booze that made people scream and vomit... I think that was a revenge of what we did to them some time ago, haha......
"The we have done shows in Lingen, Karlsruhe and Erfurt. In Karlsruhe Peter did a very special treatment to a birthday cake... As i can’t show it here on MySpace, you have to watch it on our tourblog. Everything has been extremely good and the audience has treated us very well. When we arrived in Paris we stayed there for three days and did two shows. As stated here before, we shot the video for ”Monkey Business” at those two shows and got the best help and treatment from the French fans that we could ever get. I am sure the video will turn out great and all of you who where there and aticipated – you will all be in the video. Thank you!...
"Today we arrived in Munich and we will stay here for three days and have a show here tomorrow. It was snowing on our way to Munich this morning.
"As always, our tour blog is open..."

After a great long decade of silence, Swedish melodic black metal band ALGAION has reunited and preparations for a new full-length album are underway.
Previously busy on his stint with other bands (Hypocrisy, Pain, etc) and also currently in Swedish power metal band Morifade, Mathias Kamijo decided that it was time to resurrect the ghost of ALGAION and brought it back to life in 2008 together with founding member Mårten Björkman.
New blood has since joined the ALGAION camp, with current members from Corporation 187, Viktor Klint and Robert Eng, contributing on guitars and drums respectively, and Tobias Leffler (previously in Vergelmer and N.C.O) on bass.
Pulverized Records commented on the signing: "It is our great pleasure to have ALGAION join the ranks of the Pulverised Records roster; we are very excited and definitely look forward to a great working releationship with such a veteran class act!"
Mathias Kamijo - Guitars
Mårten Björkman - Vocals
Viktor Klint (Coporation 187) - Guitars
Robert Eng (Coporation 187) - Drums

PAIN, fronted by HYPOCRISY's Peter Tägtgren, has checked in from the NIGHTWISH tour with the following update:
"Sorry for taking so long time between the blogs, but most places in Spain didn't have internet and we are consuming mobile phones like alcohol.
All of the shows we did in Spain was awesome. Thank you for your support!
Two days ago we arrived to country #18, the last country for us on this tour. Our arrival day was also a day off which we spent with Nightwish at their hotel. No memories from that at all I'm afraid. The day after (April 18th) we started to do preparations for the last show (more info of that later) and had a couple of nice walks in the rain. The show we did the same evening was really good. We all had a blast on stage and the audience was really in to it. Many thanks Porto!!! After the show we went with NW to a afterparty we were invited to. We had a really good time. Thanks for the invitations!
Today we are in Lisbon. The last stop on this tour, and we all feel a bit sad that it's almost over. These 8 weeks has felt like 2 weeks and every day has been a blast. Still, I know everyone is longing for their families, their own beds and their own toilets.
Now... for the last show. Usually bands and crew on a tour pull pranks on each other the last show, and I guess this tour is no exception. But we also have gone together with NW to pull a prank on YOU, the audience, which going to be something really special and for sure something that no one has ever seen/heard before and probably never will again. I can't wait...."
PAIN has checked in from the NIGHTWISH tour with the following update:
"We left Manchester early this day off to travel to the English border and take the underground train back to the European continent. When we got to the border we got a phone call from Pekka, one of Nightwish truck drivers. He told us that he was two hours north of London and that a wheel axle had broke on his 35 ton truck. He noticed it because one of the wheels exploded from the heat generated from the fire that started and jeopardised the whole truckload. Since we were closest we canceled our train and went back to London to help Pekka reload the whole trailer into a new one he managed to find. It's a good thing this happened on a day off, otherwise something else would. We only hope we'll be in time in Paris tomorrow.
Otherwise, the show in Manchester yesterday was awesome; 3,400 people can't be wrong. Tomorrow we'll have our catering back. That means no more starving.
Everything taste better with fire in your mouth!" More...
