Pain Posts European Tour Trailer

The following press release has now been issued about Pain heading out on the "Into Darkness" tour:

"The gaping, sinister and black abyss has many faces – just like its musical offspring…for the second time, the Into Darkness tour will crawl upon Europe! In time for the dawning of black winter days, a live package will start hitting clubs November 9th and boasting a line up full of dark gems of the widest stylistic variety: industrial metal, gothic tunes, melancholic doom – this tour has it all: Pain, Moonspell, Swallow the Sun, Lake of Tears, and Scar of the Sun united on one tour.

"Swedish legends Pain, featuring maestro Peter Tägtgren, will fill the headliner position, and this act can truly make the dead dance! Pain Forced To Cancel Shows In Portugal

Pain announced that due to problems with the local promoter, the band is forced to cancel the two shows in Portugal: November 1, 2011 (Porto) and November 2, 2011 (Lisbon).

Peter Tägtgren explained the situation as follows: “We're very sorry to announce that we have been forced to cancel our two shows in Portugal on November 1st in Porto an November 2nd in Lisbon. As some of you may have noticed it's been difficult to find out when, where and how to get tickets for the shows. The local promoter has been hard to reach, and now we found out that he has cancelled one of the shows without even talking to us first or letting us know after. Because of these uncertain conditions we decided to go out with this announcement. We were really looking forward to end the European part of the tour in Lisbon, and we're really sad that we can't come to Portugal this time.”

Commented main man and producer Peter Tägtgren: "I really wanted something 'Nightmare Before Christmas' meets 'Alice In Wonderland' kind of feeling but with our mascot, the painhead in it. And Heile created that after what I wanted. And he did it in his own way. It really has this kinda Tim Burton feel to it. It will be really crazy with a big backdrop. We also gonna do some inflatable stuff with our Painhead. Its gonna be our Eddie, like Iron Maiden has it."
