Swedish doom metal band ISOLE has completed the work on its new album, "Bliss of Solitude", at the group's own Studio Apocalypse for a January 2008 release via Napalm Records. According to a press release, "ISOLE makes use of clean vocals, slo-mo grooves, and melodies in the minor keys. Fans of CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETERNUS, or early ANATHEMA and MY DYING BRIDE will not be disappointed."
ISOLE's sophomore album, "Throne of Void", was released in June 2006 via I Hate Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Forevermore" featured "a slightly rawer and heavier sound" (both production- and music-wise) than its predecessor, according to a press release.
Swedish death/black metal band UNDIVINE, which features in its ranks IN AETERNUM guitarist Erik Kumpulainen and ISOLE drummer Jonas Lindström, has revealed the track listing for its debut album, due later in the year through an as-yet-undetermined record label. It is as follows:
01. My Silence
02. Chaos Prayer
03. In Lust And Disgust
04. A Vision Undivine
05. Cold Dead Heart
06. ...And The Word Was War
07. The Cleansing
UNDIVINE's lineup is completed by Tommy Holmer (RIMTHURS, ex-NECROCIDE) on vocals, Robert Fälström (MACHINE, ex-IN AETERNUM) on bass and Kristofer Nilsson on guitar and backing vocals.
Commented the band: "We are now waiting for contract propositions, and will tell you when we have found the right deal for our full-length. Offers have arrived, time is soon to make decisions. A bunch of new songs have already been created, seven pieces as for now. So we have surely not been uncreative. Jonas has been giving us some new shit to work with. And it is awesome stuff, great riffs and arrangements! These rough diamonds will be nicely polished for our next record!"
Sweden's ISOLE have uploaded audio samples of all seven tracks that will appear on their sophomore album, "Throne of Void", due on June 23 via I Hate Records. You can check them out at this location.
The follow-up to 2005's "Forevermore", "Throne of Void" reportedly features "a slightly rawer and heavier sound" (both production- and music-wise) than its predecessor.
ISOLE recently released a 7" vinyl single, "The Beyond", through I Hate. The single marked the group's first recording with new drummer Jonas Lindström, who is also a member of the death metal quartet WITHERED BEAUTY and black metal quintet UNDIVINE. The single's title cut, "The Beyond", was described in a press release as "a relatively up-tempo scorcher of a song" while "Beyond the Black II" was said to be "a really slow piece of mournful epic doom." Despite borrowing its title from the debut album track, "Beyond the Black II" doesn’t have much in common with its namesake, being much slower and with only some parts recognizable from its name predecessor.
Audio samples of the new ISOLE tracks "The Beyond" and "Beyond the Black II" have been made available for download at the group's official web site. ISOLE are currently recording their as-yet-untitled second album at their own Studio Apocalypse. The CD, which is expected to have a slightly rawer and heavier sound (both production- and music-wise) than the band's 2005 debut, "Forevermore", is expected to be completed by the end of March for a tentative June release.
From Isole's guitarist Crister Olsson,
"I'm sorry to announce that the Isole & World Below mini tour is cancelled due to reasons beyond our control. Germany and France will have to wait for a while. I hope we will visit Europe to do gigs in the future, we are very sorry about this and of course we are very disappointed.
We (Isole) will focus on our new material and our second album instead."
World Below have parted ways with their bassist/vocalist Mikael Danielsson, following the departure of their guitarist Per Nilsson a month ago. As a result the groups previously announced tour with Isole had to be cancelled.
