"We all have been taking care of some personal business since we have been home from tour, but we also have been working on a lot of new material as well. So things are going really well, it looks like we will have an active summer. While we are writing, we are planning hitting some places we haven't been to in a while, also working on a headlining full European tour for those who have been asking about that. More details will follow soon. The shows are in the process of being booked, it looks like tickets will go on sale very soon as well for that."

Will Haven Set Release Date For "Hierophant"
Sacramento metal-heroes Will Haven will release their new album "Hierophant" on June 19th in the United States through Bieler Bros. Records, with its UK release to set for one day earlier. Heralded by band guitarist Jeff Irwin as "By far the best stuff we have ever done." and featuring production by Shaun Lopez(Far/ Revolution Smile) and Deftones' vocalist Chino Moreno, "Hierophant" will be Will Haven's first release since 2001's critically acclaimed "Carpe Diem".
Following the release of "Carpe Diem", Will Haven seemed primed for the spotlight as the band headlined venues in the United States and Europe alike, adorned metal magazine covers and was tagged "Saviors Of Rock Music" by UK music-press powerhouse "Kerrang!". Then, without warning the band announced they would be going on indefinite hiatus. That hiatus would last until 2006 when amidst much speculation Will Haven returned with a co-headline tour of the UK with Crowbar and a subsequent record deal with fast rising indie label powerhouse Bieler Bros. Records. More...
Will Haven Post Videos w/ New Singer Online
Sacramento metal band, Will Haven have posted three new videos featuring new singer, Jeff Jaworski (Red Tape). Filmed on Monday, February 19th at the bands free headline show at The Troubador in West Hollywood, the video captures the first live Will Haven performance since the departure of original vocalist Grady Avenell. You can check the afformentioned videos out at this location.
Speaking about playing the show with a new singer, Will Haven guitarist Jeff Irwin had the following to say:
"The Troubadour show was amazing! It was how I expected it to be as far as a Will Haven show, it was intense to say the least. Having Jaworski on stage with us was awesome, it didn't feel weird at all, it felt like Will Haven just how it always has been. Jeff brought alot of new energy to the stage and it made us play even harder. So after the show we knew we made the right decision about moving forward and keeping Willl Haven alive, the passion is very much still there and it shows when we play. I have to say our fans are the best in the world. For not playing in LA in over 4 years the turnout was amazing, and they didnt seem to mind there was a new face on stage, they were singing every word right with Jeff, it just shows our fans love Will Haven for all the right reasons, the music and the energy is brings. We are excited about the year to come!"
In other Will Haven news, the band have announced a homecoming gig at The Blue Lamp in Sacramento, CA. This will be the bands only Sacramento show before hitting Europe with Deftones

Will Haven's new album "Hierophant" featuring production from Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and Shaun Lopez of Far/Revolution Smile is expected to see release this summer through Bieler Bros. Records.
Will Haven Announces New Vocalist
Will Haven are sad to announce the departure of founding member, vocalist Grady Avenell. Grady will be returning home to focus his energy on his family. Will Haven guitarist Jeff Irwin had the following to say on the matter, "It was a very tough decision for Grady to make but of course, family comes first and we totally respect his decision. He is still a part of the band as far as helping write material for the new record, he just isn’t able to tour with us. We want to promote this record as much as we can which means a lot of touring, so we had to make the tough decision of moving forward with a new vocalist.”
Moving forward, the band is proud to welcome longtime friend and California punk/hardcore scene favorite Jeff Jaworski (previously of Roadrunner Records band RED TAPE) into the fold. . “We are very excited to have Jeff Jaworski in the band. He is an amazing frontman, with an equally amazing voice and is one of our closest friends. He has added so much to Will Haven in the short time he has been with us,” adds Irwin. Jaworski will bring his high-energy attack to the WILL HAVEN sound on their upcoming album, entitled HEIROPHANT, expected to be released this summer through Bieler Bros. Records. The effort is being produced by Chino Moreno (DEFTONES) and Shaun Lopez (FAR, THE REVOLUTION SMILE). The tracks — "Helena ", "Sheppard's Bush" and "Landing on Ice" among others— are heralded as "groundbreaking" by the band and "by far the best stuff we have ever done."
“Years back I got to fill-in for Mike on a 2 week tour, and became very intimate with the Will Haven sound,” says Jaworski. ”Grady is the man, and it's too bad he had to bow out of this, especially when the band is writing some of their best music ever!” He adds of his longtime connection to the Will Haven camp “Red Tape did our first tour with Will Haven back in 2001. We go even further back as friends though... back to the SOCK days! Whether as a fan, laying down vox on the WHVN track "Jaworski", or going out on tours with them... I've always felt like I was a part of this band. I'm pumped to get this great new music out to the fans & usher in a new era of Will Haven. I'm not likening this to Sammy Hagar joining Van Halen... think more like Brian Johnson joining AC/DC!”
The revitalized group is looking forward to the future. “ We are taking this as a new era of Will Haven and we are very excited about it,” says Irwin. “We are ready to take over the world!" . To that end, Will Haven hit the road with The Deftones in Europe in late March.
You can read a much longer "open letter to the fans" straight from the band here.
