DYING FETUS, ATROCIOUS ABNORMALITY, DETERIORATION and INHUMAN DISSILIENCY are among the newlyconfirmed bands for the first annual New England Deathfest, set to take place August 9-10 at the Jeep Shop (206 Chalkstone Avenue) in Providence, Rhode Island.

The NEDF was created to showcase a gamut of brutal bands from all over the New England area alongside a lethal lineup of groups from all over the U.S.
There will be two-day advance passes available for $35, and one-day advance passes will be $20. These prices will be effective until one month before the festival (July 9), and payment will be available through PayPal and money order. Prices at the door for two-day passes will be $40, and one-day passes at the door will be $25. Tickets will be on sale shortly.
ARCH ENEMY, SYMPHONY X, BRING ME THE HORIZON, BLACK STONE CHERRY, THROWDOWN and BLEEDING THROUGH have just been confirmed for the Graspop Metal Meeting which is set to take place June 27th - 29th at De Boeretand in Dessel, Belgium.

In addition to the venue change, Duane Timlin (ex-Dying Fetus, Divine Empire, Criminal Element etc..) has joined the cause!The event will now start with two 30 minute drum clinics: One by John Merryman and the other, Duane Timlin. Duane will also be joining the judges table for the event, along with John Merryman of Cephalic Carnage, Eric Park of Devourment / Hyperion, and Jason Parrott of the Colorado native Skinned, after his short clinic.

Wales-based metallers ANTERIOR have been confirmed as the main support act for the UK leg of the upcoming DYING FETUS tour.

Displeased Records has announced that after years of (near) unavailability, the label will soon reissue the
1998 brutal death metal classic Killing On Adrenaline by DYING FETUS.
With upgraded layout and freshly remastered, this new and improved version will be an essential addition to every metal collection.

Reactivated British thrashers ONSLAUGHT have been confirmed for the Queens of Metal Open Air 2008 festival, set to take place June 19-21, 2008 in Kleinwenkheim, Germany. The festival billing is now shaping up as follows:

Indianapolis, Indiana-based thrashers DEMIRICOUS have parteed ways with Middle Coast Management and have subsequently been forced to leave their tour with DYING FETUS and SKELETONWITCH. "We are not happy to leave this tour, but have to clean house and get our career and finances back under our control," stated guitarist Scott Wilson. He continued, "We thank DYING FETUS and SKELETONWITCH for letting us tour with them and can't wait to get back on the road to see all our crazy fans as soon as we get things straight."

DEMIRICOUS' new album, "Two (Poverty)", hit stores October 16 and has received rave reviews. According to a press release, the CD is "pure American metal with a hardcore punk attitude and a massive amount of thrash riffs. Nothing could label DEMIRICOUS' music better than the genre they invented themselves: street metal!"
The CD was produced by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL) at the Mana Recording Studios in Florida.
Death metal juggernaut DYING FETUS will embark on a month-long tour of the States starting November 1st in support of their brand new album, War of Attrition. This will be DYING FETUS‘ first comprehensive U.S. War of Attrition headlining tour. Scottsdale, Arizona death metal outfit Reign Of Vengeance has officially announced the addition of former Dying Fetus drummer Duane Timlin. Timlin recently completed drum tracks for the group's "Revenge by Bloodshed" CD, due out later this year. "It sounds great and he's done an amazing job," says vocalist Marshall Beck. "Mixing of the final songs will continue this coming Monday so the album should be pressed and ready for purchase soon." Beck adds, "We do apologize for the delays on releasing this album. We ran into some out-of-our-control problems with our first drummer Sorceron that has delayed the release much longer than we had originally planned."
Currently out on the road with Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust, Ohio-based thrashers SKELETONWITCH have been confirmed as a support to Dying Fetus this fall alongside Demiricous, The Absence and Cephalic Carnage on the tour's second half of dates. The string of dates will keep SKELETONWITCH busy into early December while the band continues out on the road to support the forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut, 'Beyond The Permafrost,' which is due out October 2. Having just completed a string of dates with Nachtmystium, SKELETONWITCH has been hard at work supporting the self-released EP, 'Worship The Witch' and performing material that will appear on 'Beyond The Permafrost.' Featuring artwork from John Baizley (Baroness, Pig Destroyer, Darkest Hour), 'Beyond The Permafrost' was recorded earlier this year with producer Cory Smoot (Municipal Waste, GWAR) and features a handful of brand new SKELETONWITCH songs alongside a few songs that previously appeared on the self-released Skeletonwitch records 'Worship The Witch' and 'At One With The Shadows.'

SKINLESS has announced a number of globe-spanning tour dates in support of their latest release, Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead. The quartet will first embark on a month-long European tour with label-mates DYING FETUS along with CATTLE DECAPITATION starting this Friday, May 4. Also joining these bands on various dates of the tour are NAPALM DEATH, RED CHORD, DEAD TO FALL, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, ION DISSONANCE, and WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH. This will be Skinless’ first return to Europe since their successful headlining tour there last summer. DYING FETUS has debuted the first video from their brand new album "War of Attrition", for the track "Homicidal Retribution", exclusively at www.singingfool.com.
The "Homicidal Retribution" video was lensed by director Frankie Nasso (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS) and producer Kim Resteghini for Raging Nation Films (TRIVIUM, SHADOWS FALL, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, UNEARTH) at Philadelphia's historic Eastern State Penitentiary. The video's premise is that of an accused man spending a life-time in prison. Photos from the shoot can be viewed here. "Homicidal Retribution" can also be heard via the "War of Attrition" media player.
In other news, DYING FETUS has added more dates to their previously announced headlining tours in support of "War of Attrition". The first tour will be the band’s first return to Europe in two years and includes support from SKINLESS, CATTLE DECAPITATION and WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH for the "War of Attrition European Tour 2007". The second will be a three-week tour of Canada during June with a Northern U.S. run to immediately follow.

Cannibal Corpse filled the Stone Pony of Asbury Park, NJ full of death metal destruction on Monday, November 13, 2006. Opening for the legendary Cannibal Corpse were Unmerciful, Necrophagist, and Dying Fetus.
