Dave Lombardo (Ex-Slayer, Etc.) Premieres Track

Drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Dead Cross, Testament, etc.) premieres a second single named “Separation From The Sacred”, taken from his forthcoming debut solo effort “Rites Of Percussion“. Ipecac Recordings will release the album on May 05th, 2023.
Testament Announces European Tour With Exodus
American thrash metal legends Testament has announced that they will be heading across the pond to Europe this Summer, where they will be joined by fellow Bay Area thrash icons Exodus and, on select dates, Canadian progressive thrash metal favourites Voivod. A message from the band reads:
"Festival season is right around the corner, and we're stoked to announce our summer run! Titans Of Creation European Summer Festival Tour 2023 will embark this Spring, May 26th. We'll be joined by our friends in Exodus and Voivod for a good portion of the shows. Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday the 25th at 10 am local time."

Graspop Announces A Further 103 Bands
The organisers of Graspop Metal Meeting, one of Europe's premier metal festivals and the biggest in Belgium has announced a further 103 bands added to next year's edition of the festival. The event will take place in the town of Dessel from June 15th - 18th.

Dead Cross Premiere New Single & Music Video

Supergroup Dead Crossreturn with a second advance track from their sophomore studio full-length “II“. The single “Heart Reformer” has just premiered online and the accompanying music video for it was directed by Dark Details.
The band features Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, etc.), Dave Lombardo (Testament, Suicidal Tendencies, ex-Slayer, etc.) and Justin Pearson (The Locust, etc.) and will release “II” through Ipecac Recordings on October 28th, 2022.

Dead Cross - featuring members of Faith No More, ex-Slayer, The Locust etc. - have announced their new album titled “II“, will be released on October 28th via vocalist Mike Patton‘s own Ipecac Recordings label.
The single “Reign Of Error” has premiered online from the effort and has arrived, complete with a NSFW animated music video produced by Displaced/Replaced.

Thrash metal veterans Testament will be putting out a companion "video album" for their thirteenth studio album “Titans Of Creation”, due out on September 09th through Nuclear Blast.

Testament Recruits Former Slayer Drummer
Bay Area thrash metal legends, who recently parted company with drummer Gene Hoglan, has announced a very worthy replacement in the form of ex Slayer and Grip Inc. drummer, Dave Lombardo. Lombardo is also the drummer of fellow Californian legends Suicidal Tendencies and is expected to continue his role in the band.
Frontman Chuck Billy declares "I’ll state the obvious, We are more than overwhelmed to welcome back Dave Lombardo to play drums with Testament. We are so excited to share the stage again with Lombardo. Dave added immense power when he joined the band for The Gathering (release), and we are ecstatic to see what new flavor he will bring back to Testament."
Dave Lombardo stated, "This is a long-awaited reunion that was bound to happen. Once upon a time, we created a thrash masterpiece. I have no doubt that our musical chemistry will pick up exactly where we left off. I love the Testament family and am very excited to be joining them once again. Pure brutality awaits."
Guitarist Eric Peterson expresses, "Having Dave Lombardo join us again feels like we are picking up where unfinished business had left off. Dave Lombardo has been very busy since parting ways with Slayer in 2013 following a pay dispute. He initially returned one of his previous projects Philm, before retiring the band in early 2016, shortly after he launched Dead Cross with Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton, whom he previously worked with in Fantomas. In 2016, he joined crossover thrash icons Suicidal Tendencies, as well as horror punk legends Misfits and still plays with both to this day. In 2019, Lombardo again joined forces with Mike Patton, when he was confirmed as the new drummer of Mr. Bungle and performed on their latest album, "The Raging Wrath Pf The Easter Bunny Demo."

Dave Mustaine Reveals New Album's Title

In a recent birthday greeting to a Megadeth fan via his Cameo page, Dave Mustaine was back in the studio and revealed that the title of the band's upcoming record will be "The Sick, the Dying and the Dead".
Mustaine appears to be putting final touches on the band's 16th studio full-length and ans also offers a few seconds of the new album's title track:
“If you listen real closely, you can hear in the background — look over my shoulder, uh oh! — there’s the Pro Tools rig with the new album, doing a rough mix, and you’re getting to hear a little bit of it in the background for your birthday. This is the beginning of the song ‘The Sick, the Dying and the Dead,’ which is our title track.”
