From 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon U.K. time Landphil will be behind the controls at Totalrock taking requests live on the air and talking to Phil Rind. "It was a total honor to meet Phil from SACRED REICH," said Landphil. "We are part of a very elite 'Thrash Metal Bassists Named Phil' club, haha! He was a nice guy and I hope we get to hang out again soon!"

MUNICIPAL WASTE's new album, "The Art of Partying", was released in the U.S. on July 31.
The band recently joined together with Troma Entertainment to complete a music video for "Headbanger Face Rip", one of the many blistering tracks featured on "The Art of Partying".
U.S. crossover thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE have expressed their excitement about playing this weekend's Wacken Open Air festival. The group is touring in support of its recent release "The Art of Partying", which is due in the U.S. on July 31.
Commented bassist LandPhil: "I don't think there could be anything more exciting than getting the honour of playing Wacken fest next weekend, it has been a dream of mine ever since I started playing metal! I am stoked to be sharing the stage with CANNIBAL CORPSE and IMMORTAL, among many other great bands. I know that I am going to be running around like crazy trying to see every band playing that day!"
The touring frenzy is due to hit the U.K. next week before the band embarks on show-stopping performances at this summer's Reading and Leeds festivals, delivering their mix of beer-bong, boogie-board, thrash-induced anthems.
Tongue in cheek thrashers Municipal Waste have posted the unreleased track "Boner City" at their official myspace
Legendary independent film company Troma Entertainment will shoot MUNICIPAL WASTE's music video next week in New York for the thrash party anthem "Headbanger Face Rip" from the band's latest album, "The Art of Partying".
Founded by Lloyd Kaufman in 1974, Troma is known the world over for its genre-defining B-movie style shock flicks that specialize in graphic violence, political satire and a bizarre sense of humour. Having produced classics such as "The Toxic Avenger", "Class Of Nuke 'Em High" and "Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD", this will be the perfect marriage of splatter-style visuals with MUNICIPAL WASTE's colorful high-energy thrash assault.
Commented Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma and creator of "The Toxic Avenger", "The Troma team and I are huge fans of Earache Records and MUNICIPAL WASTE, and we're excited to make 'Headbanger Face Rip' into a truly tromatic and toxi-riffic music video experience!"
MUNICIPAL WASTE's lyrical miracle himself, Tony Foresta, is equally excited about the upcoming shoot: "Troma's awesome! They are a huge influence on our music, we are working out concepts for an amazing video. Hopefully it will have boobies in it and blood and shit."
Lloyd Kaufman himself sums it up best: "It seems fitting that MUNICIPAL WASTE would ask the Troma team to make a video for 'Headbanger Face Rip' as we've been ripping faces off on film for over 30 years!"
"The Art Of Partying" is out now on CD (with free patch) and 10 different colored vinyl LPs on Earache Records in Europe (it is due in the U.S. on July 31).
Richmond's thrash monsters MUNICIPAL WASTE recently recorded an explosive session for the BBC Radio 1's "Punk Show with Mike Davies", which aired on this past Tuesday night's show. The band recorded an exclusive new track, entitled "Boner City", which was written and recorded at Maida Vale studios and which describes the group's feelings after being on tour for five weeks. They also laid down the songs "Headbanger Face-Rip" and "Sadistic Magician" from the group's new album, "The Art of Partying" (out now in Europe), and a cover of S.O.D.'s "United Forces".

“I am very excited about this next leg of the AGNOSTIC FRONT tour! We start off with MUNICIPAL WASTE, SACTO HOODS, and PLEDGE OF RESISTANCE backing us up. I expect nothing but some of the sickest mosh pits ever witnessed! Joining us in about a week into the tour will be our brothers SUBZERO as allies in our Canadian invasion! All in all these 3 weeks are guaranteed to be some great times and memories. Pure hardcore fury at it's best!”

The mighty Scumdogs of the Universe, otherwise known as Gwar, invaded the Starland Ballroom of Sayreville, NJ this past Sunday, October the 15th. This Gwar conquest was the first of Gwar's that my friend and I had witnessed. Before Gwar began their set though, The Red Chord and Municipal Waste had the honors of the opening ceremony.
Municipal Waste started off. I had heard of them through a friend that directed me to their myspace page. From that, I knew that Municipal Waste was a decent band, but after watching them spread their toxic thrash, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. Municipal Waste’s first two songs were only ok, but after that their intense energy and quality music got me into them. I thought that would be a hard act to follow, but I knew Gwar was going to be able to; they’re intergalactic warriors after all. But before that, The Red Chord came on. More...
