Poland's Strommoussheld has checked in with the following update about recording the new "No Direction Home" album:
"We are happy to announce the first guest appearance on 'No Direction Home' album. Destroyer - lead guitarist of Polish HATE - participated in recording guitar solo parts for one of the tracks. The results are outstanding and added a rough metal feeling to the overall arrangement of the song!
"Also we haven't forgotten to shoot some scenes from recording sessions and some of them we made available for you right now so don't forget to check out the first part of 'No Direction Home' making of material on the band's Youtube official channel." More...
Polish experimental black metallers STROMMOUSSHELD have issued the following update:
"Maels Strommö [vocals, guitar, electronics] and Mr. Comankh [VJ, backing vocalist] are currently recording the debut album of their brand-new solo project HORISUN — an unique collage of Maels' psychedelic post-trip-rock-metal guitars, avantgarde vintage sounds and brilliant electronic pads with mesmerized vocals and visuals of Comankh.... It is different from STROMMOUSSHELD, but you can still find some influences and similarities of it. Check the MySpace page and listen to the band's first notes already recorded..."
A new STROMMOUSSHELD song, entitled "Long Ago Gone", was posted last year on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the group's upcoming album, tentatively due later in the year.

A brand new STROMMOUSSHELD song titled 'Long Ago Gone', has been posted online here. The track comes off the band's upcoming full-length album, due out later this year.
"We are still recording the songs at the SH Studio," comments frontman Maels, "so we had to postpone the mixing session. Sometimes I believe this album will never be finished, still exchanging and rearranging single tracks to get only the best possible ones. As you see the 'Long Ago Gone' tune stepped us away from extreme metal styles we were playing previously."
Polish black metallers Strommoussheld are currently working hard recording their third, as-yet-untitled album, at SH Studio in Katowice, Poland.
Frontman/guitarist Maels has issued the following update: "The recording session is going awesome. It's the first time we're working with no deadlines at all, so we concentrate only on the most important things for us making the best album as we can do nowadays. Most of orchestrations, loops, synths, samples and guitars tracks are already layered, there're only bass guitars and drums left to record. It seems we'll finish the recordings in late December and enter the Green Studio to mix the tracks in January 2007. The new songs are more into down-tempo and avant-garde. Some special quests are also confirmed, among others: 'Vliege9', 'Valdi Moder' and 'CH District'."
Strommoussheld's long awaited release "Halfdecadance" will officially be released on the 25th of October through Metal Mind Productions. A Digipack release of "Halfdecadance" is a kind of passage between "Behind the Curtain" and the forthcoming full-length, whose premiere is scheduled for 2005. Promoting "Halfdecadance", the band will play on the first five shows of Samael's "Reign of Light Tour".
