MDF Announces First Bands For 2020 Festival

The organisers of the Maryland Deathfest has confirmed the first batch of bands which will perform at the 2020 edition of the event. Among those announced include Swedish death metal veterans Dismember, Florida death metal favourites Monstrosity and British thrash metal legends Onslaught. The festival is set to take place at Rams Head Live and Baltimore Soundstage on May 21-24 2020.

Ireland's Vircolac premieres a new song entitled "Lascivious Cruelty", taken from the upcoming new EP "The Cursed Travails of the Demeter", which will be out in stores through Dark Descent on October 31 (CD and digital).

Vircolac Releasing "Codex Perfida"

Formed just a year ago, Ireland's Vircolac come storming out of the gates with debut demo, "Codex Perfida," set for international release on December 22nd via Iron Bonehead Productions. You can hear two tracks below, and Iron Bonehead also comments:

"Comprising veterans from the Irish metal scene, Vircolac exhibit the poise and maturity that their combined experience suggests, their Metal of Death ranging various locales and eras whilst remaining an expression that's uniquely their own. At once cosmic and grounded in filth, bulldozing and palpitating, doomed-out and disgusting, Codex Perfida is a four-song study of contrasts, set amongst a haunting 'n' harrowing soundfield and shot through with violent execution.
