Malevolent Creation Reveals Album Artwork

Florida based death metal act Malevolent Creation has revealed the artwork from the band's upcoming 11th studio outing entitled "Invidious Dominion." The cover art, which can be viewed here, was brought to life this time around by artist Pär Olofsson.

"Pär Olofsson was recommended to us by our label manager, Gerardo Martinez, and after checking out some of his work we knew he was our guy,” commented the band. “Our initial thought was to have a world in chaos and destruction, or an Invidious Dominion, which then led us to remember the Ten Commandments album cover, and how cool it would be to have the demon make a return appearance but from a frontal view! Pär's totally brutal interpretation couldn't have exceeded our expectations any more! We are stoked with his work and can't wait to see it on a bunch of cool merch and more than likely everyone in the bands skin!”

Invidious Dominion was produced and recorded by Erik Rutan at Mana Studios in Florida and will be released on August 24, 2010 in North America via Nuclear Blast USA and August 27, 2010 in Europe via Massacre Records.

Malevolent Creation Recruits Former Bassist

Malevolent Creation has once again been rejoined by original bassist Jason Blachowicz, who issued the following statement about returning to the band:

"Been in hiding, working in tattoo shops for quite some time now but my gut has been aching to do one of the things that I do best... spreading malevolence across the globe with my brothers in metal. The evil in my blood has motivated me to dust the cobwebs off of my bass and commit to performing blasphemy and anger upon mine and everyone else's ears once again. This is also for one of my inspirations, Peter Steele, and for all of the loyal Malevolent Creation fans who have been supporting us for 23 fucking years! Our 11th album, Invidious Dominion, is going to rip the weak and feeble to shreds! See ya'll on Tour!! Bring the rum and git ‘er done!”

Malevolent Creation's 11th studio outing was produced and recorded by Erik Rutan at Mana Studios in Florida. The new album, entitled "Invidious Dominion," will be released on August 24th in North America via Nuclear Blast.

Malevolent Creation Begins Work on New Album

Florida death metal band MALEVOLENT CREATION has just signed a management deal with Extreme Management Group (SUFFOCATION, ORIGIN). The band has also confirmed April 5 as the starting date for recording their new album with Eric Rutan at Mana Recording Studios (CANNIBAL CORPSE, VITAL REMAINS, GOATWHORE, etc.).

MALEVOLENT CREATION comments, “After over 20 years in existence, and now having the most solid line up in years, we really wanted to make sure that with this new album we elevated the band in every way. Getting good management was crucial and EMG has a great track record. Erik had been talking to us since Doomsday X to record us, and with Gus Rios (drums) being the band full time now, we didn't want him to have the responsibility of producing the album as well as writing and playing. Erik really understands what we are about, and has all of the same thoughts about recording as us. It really couldn't be a better working situation. We've said it before but this album really is without a doubt is the most relentless, focused and brutal MALEVOLENT CREATION album ever! We really went back to our roots, not only as a band, but as fans of metal. We wrote an album of songs that we as fans of brutal music would want to hear.” More...
