2013 marks the ten-year anniversary for Mouth of the Architect, and the band will be releasing the "Dawning" album on June 25th. Today the band reveals another song off the release: check out "How Will This End" via Lambgoat.com or in the player below. The following press release was also issued about the band:
"While many have anticipated the apocalypse in 2012, MOTA has been accurately predicting and creating the soundtrack for such a disaster since 2003. There is perhaps no better way to celebrate such a milestone than by releasing a new face melting full-length record, and MOTA has never failed in that regard.
"The current lineup consists of drummer Dave Mann, guitarists and vocalists Steve Brooks and Kevin Schindel, keyboardist and vocalist Jason Watkins, and bassist Evan Danielson. The band plans to celebrate its 'most glorious birthday' by releasing a psychedelic-tinged sludge-rock masterpiece.
"Remaining under the long time label support of Translation Loss Records, their new album Dawning bludgeons its way to the top of their long catalog of doom rock greatness. These dudes last proved their heavy-metallic weight in gold when they made it through a volcanic eruption to play the Roadburn Festival on their 2010 European tour in support of 'The Violence Beneath.' This year these well-worn road veterans plan on bringing their incredibly loud and extremely hairy brand of post-metal to a venue near you in support of Dawning. Of course, you have to live in the northern hemisphere to get your chance to witness this rock 'n roll spectacle.
"In support of Dawning, Mouth of the Architect will be touring this summer with Intronaut and Scale the Summit. The Tour stars June 5th in Seattle, WA and runs through July 6th in Hollywood, CA. A complete list of dates can be found below." More...

Ohio's Mouth of the Architect has issued the following update about releasing a new EP:
"So as you may have heard we have a new EP coming out in March on Translation Loss Records. It's a little different than the MOTA you're used to. We wanted to have a bit more energy so it's a little faster and a little more metal. It will also have an unreleased live track and a new cover song. It's a Peter Gabriel song for all you 80's kids. You'll have to buy it to see what song it is. HAHAHA!
"We also will be in Europe for a month from April 15th to May 15th. We will be playing The Asymmetry Fest, The Roadburn Fest, and many others. More info on our website or our facebook. Check out the Fest web pages for dates, tickets, etc... This will be our first time going overseas to play and we are really fucking excited about it. WE WIN!
"We are currently booking US dates up until the European tour in April. We have some booked already but are still looking to fill some dates. If you want to help us set up a show in your area write us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will post the shows as we get them confirmed so look for us to be in your city soon. There are tentative European dates on our website now so look for us there as well. Anyway, thanks a lot to everyone who helps us do what we do and keeps us going. We may have more member changes and stupid drama than any other band ever but we will never die. We look forward to hanging out and getting drunk with all of you soon."
Enslaved has been announced as artists in residence for Roadburn Festival 2010, which will take place April 15-18 in Tilburg, Holland. Enslaved will be playing the Thursday.
Roadburn states: "We are thrilled to announce that Norway’s Enslaved will be our artists in residence for next years Roadburn Festival, set to be held from April 15 – 18, 2010 at both the 013 venue and Midi Theatre in Tilburg – Holland. Enslaved have been groundbreaking metal pioneers for almost 20 years. Since their Viking-metal inception, the band has been forging a connection between black metal and prog, arriving at an incredible melange of heavy psych and modern metal. Enslaved embodies the experimental, dark and psychedelic aspect of Roadburn, and we have invited them as our artists in residence – a premiere for Roadburn - for our 2010 festival. Enslaved, and various band members, will be doing several special shows during the festival.
Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson comments: “This show will pan towards the latter day Enslaved and will consist of a set list specially put together for Roadburn; emphasizing the heavy, the psychedelic and not but least – the visual aspect of what Enslaved is today. Be prepared for a surprise or two!”
Enslaved / Shining (NO) will be the main headliner of Roadburn Festival 2010, playing their 90-minute Armageddon Concerto on Saturday, April 17th. Composed by Enslaved’s Ivar Bjørnson and Shining’s Jørgen Munkeby and arranged together with the band members, Bjørnson describes the Armageddon Concerto as “an experience of a life time.
