Sweden's black metal band Tyrant has issued the following update about their band, by way of introduction before going on tour with Gorgoroth and Enthroned later this year:
"On the edge of the precipice, there is only one way back, and that is by taking a step forward.
"The band that was to become TYRANT was something we had been wanting to create for a long time. But it was nothing we planned, it just happened. But now afterwards we realize that it was inevitable. And when something comes naturally, it's a result of honesty. We were simply pissed off about the development in music today, it needed to be reminded of how it´s supposed to be.
We were in studio Beast drinking beer like we often do. Peter had been drunk the day before and had recorded an idea, which he shared with the rest of us, and to us it was obvious how we needed to develop it further. Once you start working, the inspiration sets in. We made the songs, recorded them live, most of them in just one take, and barely mixed them. The album was completed in 26 hours! We realized we had created something unique. TYRANT was born. When others talk about perfectionism, we talk about simplicity. When others talk about beautifying, we talk about uglifying. Sometimes it's right to be wrong.
-D.F.Bragman July 2007"

Nornagest, guitarist/vocalist of Belgian black metallers ENTHRONED has issued the following tour report on the band's official forum:
"We are back from the Italian tour! It was a blow and a huge success! We first landed in Milano, where the promoter and the guys of SINISTER were waiting for us. We had a trip of six hours till the first venue and got prepared for our first show in a year and the first one with the new line-up! We played a 60 minutes set even tho the venue was filled with about 150 people (Thursday night) the place was in the mood! After the show and some drinks with the fans we headed to the hotel and took the plane the next day in Rome's airport, direction Palermo (Sicily). The place looked like a semi-open-air disco quite bizarre but top notch indeed. I perform a banishing ritual just before entering the stage and invoked Kali-Ma. The concert went on filled with Hatred (one of the most infernal presence on stage I ever had!) and despise some little problems with the sound engineer everything went on like a fist in the face! Sinister invaded the stage for an excellent old-school DM show, these guys are back with a vengeance for sure! As the owner of the venue allowed us free drinks for the whole night we spent a white night and took back the plane to Valencia direction Este. The venue was one of the hottest ever, the gig went fine but in the middle of the set, I piece of string slashed my pinky and I lost a piece of flesh and I spent the rest of the gig playing with my "d" string slashing inside the wound, well shit happens... Another success, but a very quite audience. More...

Shortly after the band parted ways with longtime growler Sabathan, ENTHRONED has started working on their next album leaving the live performences aside during the process. The band hinted that this release will take them in an even more extreme direction, increasing the dark and oppressive side of their music. The album's current working title is Tetra Karcist and ENTHRONED promises to focus as much energy into its graphic conception as it will on its music.
Guitarist Nornagest of the long-running Belgian black metal warlords ENTHRONED has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"On October 19th 2006, the decision was taken that longtime vocalist Sabathan won't be a part of ENTHRONED anymore. It was time to choose whether we would go on like this and lead ENTHRONED to a certain death or whether it will continue in its original perspectives.
"I've been involved within this creation for almost 15 years and Sabathan has always been my war-brother within this journey, but some issues occurred between him and the rest of the band regarding several factors, but we prefer to keep those things in between ourselves, things that [aren't] your business.
"To make a long story short; Sabathan isn't interested nor have conviction in our faith (black metal here so to speak) anymore, and for the last two years we were not able to practice nor to write music in a decent way. More...

It has been brought to our attention that the recent story circulating around the Internet about Enthroned working on a MCD is a hoax, and the result of a hacked email account. You can read the entire statement from the band at their web page (unfortunately it's in Flash in a tiny font that cannot be copy+pasted and is difficult to read).
Enthroned have issued the following update:
"With the breath of our last release Black Goat Ritual still in our necks, Enthroned is already preparing a conceptual MCD! The CD will be entitled "175 years of kingdom Hell", and it will be some sort of tribute to our mighty Hellgium, which celebrates its 175st birthday this year! You can see it as a statement against all pathetic and stupid separatistic movements that are always whining about imaginary money transfers and other hilarious shit.
The CD will contain following tracks:
1. The Dark Fullmoon Rises
2. Van Saksen-Coburg (a tribute to the kings)
3. Satanising of Holy Slaves
4. Dark Forces United as One
5. Tricolor Banner of Hell
Bonus track: Hellgium Messiah (live)
Expect more info to appear on our website very soon. We hope to see you all on one of our gigs this summer! Nornagest - on behalf of Enthroned"
Thanks! Keep the metal flame burning! Nornagest"
