In Flames To Release Remix Single

Sweden's In Flames will unleash a 2nd digital single "Where The Dead Ships Dwell," off the new album "Sounds Of A Playground Fading," on November 15th.

In Flames was not shy of taking a new approach to the song "Where The Dead Ships Dwell" and went to extremes with the diverse partners that turned in three completely different remixes with versions by German rapper Casper, drum and bass act The Qemists, and Kristof Bathory, vocalist of the black metal band Dawn of Ashes.

"The songs have already been made and the originals are as good as they can be, but what if I give them to an artist from a whole different genre, what would be there take on it?" Says In Flames vocalist Anders Fridén. "I love collaborations like this and all the artists we worked with have done an awesome job. It's not meant to be taken dead serious and it's not how In Flames is gonna sound next, but I love it and I hope you'll enjoy a twist to the formula."

The track listing for the single is as follows:

1. Where The Dead Ships Dwell
2. Where The Dead Ships Dwell (Casper Remix)
3. Where The Dead Ships Dwell (The Qemists Remix)
4. Where The Dead Ships Dwell (Kristof Bathory - Dawn of Ashes Remix) (iTunes exclusive track)

Re-mixer Casper commented, "Since I have been a huge In Flames fan since I was a teenager, I was honored to even be considered for a remix of one of their songs from their new chart-topping album. When I used to play in metal bands, it was all about having riffs comparable to these guys and to now, as a rapper (!!!), be a part of the new single is mindblowing. We didn't really know how to approach the material, since it is my first remix job ever, so we went the dancy French house route. I really deeply do hope that people enjoy it. Feeling blessed." Bands Announced For Defenders Of The Faith Tour

Metal Hammer's Defenders Of The Faith tour is back and will be hitting the road on December 1st, tearing it up from Southampton to Glasgow over seven shows until December 8th. This year's bill includes Trivium, In Flames, Rise To Remain, Ghost, and Insense.

"Prepare for the siege on the UK that is the 2011 Metal Hammer Defenders Of The Faith Tour," says Trivium's Matt Heafy. "This is what it's all about: an epic night to celebrate all that is glorious about the diverse world of metal. This bill is a must-see tour and has something every fan of modern metal can enjoy."

"We are glad to be part of such an awesome bill on the Defenders Of The Faith tour," adds Anders Fridén of In Flames. "We are looking forward to playing the UK after such a good time this summer at Sonisphere."

"Rise To Remain are flying the flag for British metal," he says. "They're up and coming stars and good pals of ours too. Ghost are something special; you can feel the electricity and mystery behind Lucifer's house band. Prepare your souls for the sermon. They are a must-see. Insense deliver some pummeling brutality and a sense of catchiness that is all their own."

The mysterious Ghost frontman, Papa Emeritus 1, also corresponded with Metal Hammer to say: "After a few close calls, we are finally embarking on a full-fledged ungodly crusade of thy United Kingdom. Our boss (the old horned codger) is very, very pleased with this opportunity to bring Ghost in front of so many young souls. "Touring with such an unbelievable and diverse metal ensemble is a great honour, and we look forward to spreading the Metal Hammer gospel with our buddies in Trivium, and our new friends in In Flames, Ghost and Insense!
