Everything is going great 8 out of 13 songs done and some titles are: Crawl through knives, Dead end, Leeches, Surrender?, Reflect the storm, Take this life. I feel it’s a good mix of everything IN FLAMES stands for, but it’s me speaking....

upstate New York's GIZMACHI have now officially filled one of the "mystery band" slots on the second stage of this year's Ozzfest.
GIZMACHI will release their debut CD, "The Imbuing", on May 3 on Big Orange Clown Records, an imprint of Sanctuary Records. "The Imbuing" was produced by SLIPKNOT's M. Shawn Crahan (who also founded Big Orange Clown Records), engineered by Josh Wilbur and recorded at Spin Studios in New York City. GIZMACHI is comprised of Sean Kane on vocals, Jay Hannon and Mike Laurino on guitars, Kris Gilmore on bass and Jimmie Hatcher on drums.
The band filmed the video for their first single, "The Answer", in February in New York. The video was directed by Crahan and produced by Doug Spangenberg (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LAMB OF GOD, EVERY TIME I DIE).
Ozzfest 2005 billing is now shaping up as follows: More...
Nuclear Blast USA has confirmed that Sweden's IN FLAMES are officially to open the Ozzfest Main Stage. They also state that there will be no overlap of music between Rob Zombie's Second Stage set and when IN FLAMES will begin their performance.
It appears that, according to Ozzfest.com's bands page, In Flames have been moved from the second stage to the main stage now. While one mystery slot remains on the second stage and main stage, Velvet Revolver is expected to be that main stage "mystery band" from August 23rd to September 4th.
Arch Enemy and In Flames will be doing shows on their off days on Ozzfest this year. Dates to be announced as they become available.
According to a posting on In Flames' official web site, the band have finished shooting a video for the song "My Sweet Shadow" (not for "F(r)iend," as previously reported) with director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom and Lacuna Coil, among others. The shoot took place in early April, "and as usual, Patric did a glorious job. The video looks awesome and is really something extraordinary," reads a posting on the site.
In other news, In Flames guitarist Björn Gelotte and bassist Peter Iwers collaborated with James Murphy (Ex-Death, Testament, Obituary) on a tribute to late Death/Control Denied mainman Chuck Schuldiner. Björn plays on 'Flattening Of Emotions' from the Death album "Human," while Peter appears on 'Baptized In Blood' from "Scream Bloody Gore."
Sweden's IN FLAMES have finished filming a video for the track "F(r)iend" with director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, CHILDREN OF BODOM and LACUNA COIL, among others.
"F(r)iend" comes off the group's latest album, "Soundtrack to Your Escape", which was released in the U.S. in April 2004 via Nuclear Blast Records.
As previously reported, IN FLAMES are currently recording their new album at the Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden for a late 2005 release via Nuclear Blast. Singer Anders Fridén told Nuclear Blast magazine that the upcoming CD "will be more uptempo" and will feature "more guitar harmonies" than was the case with "Soundtrack to Your Escape".
Ten pictures from the drum-recording sessions for the new In Flames album at the Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden have been posted online at the group's official web site. Check them out at this location. Also available on the site is a streaming video filmed during the drum soundcheck at Dug-Out on April 5. To watch the video you need to have Real Audio installed on your computer.

In other news, In Flames will be supporting Iron Maiden in Gothenburg on July 9th, 2005.
As reported earlier, In Flames will be teaming up with Motley Crue in Finland for two shows.
Upcoming In Flames support dates include:
Jun. 07 Icehall in Helsinki, Finland (Monsters Of The Millennium with Mötley Crüe)
Jun. 08 Ellysee Arena in Turku, Finland (Rock In Turku with Mötley Crüe)
Jul. 09 Venue TBA in Gothenburg, Sweden (with Iron Maiden)
Sweden's In Flames will be opening for Motley Crue on their two Finnish dates in early June. The details are as follows.
Jun. 07 Helsinki, FIN @ Icehall (Monsters Of The Millennium)
Jun. 08 Turku, FIN @ Ellysee Arena (Rock In Turku)
In other news, the two In Flames guitarists/songwriters Björn Gelotte and Jesper Strömblad decided in 2003 to start a project that is somewhat different from what they usually do. The idea was to create a band that is far removed from the music they are famous for. They had a clear vision of how this should sound.
Together with experienced musical artist Tinna Karlsdotter and Björn's sister Emma Gelotte they recorded a few songs as the first All Ends demo. The resultant recording, which is said to be "quite far away from In Flames," is currently being shopped to interested labels.

Sweden's In Flames has posted the following update on the band's official website:
12 songs have been written so far and we'e all extremely excited. Hopefully both old and new members of the IF-family will be pleased. Daniel will begin tracking drums in about 2 weeks and at the end of May we will have a new album finished. We'll keep you updated about what's going on in the studio.
As you know by now we're on Ozzfest this summer and it looks like a great bill this year with lots of METAL bands. Great to see that our friends in Soilwork, Haunted and Arch Enemy will be there with us to spread the Swedish sound. Can't wait to see you all in the dust and the heating sun.
In Flames might be touring with Judas Priest and preparing to release a DVD at the end of May. But that does not keep them from already getting some tunes together for a new album.
As singer Anders Fridén told Nuclear Blast magazine, "nine or ten songs are written, and the drums will be recorded drums in two and a half weeks." As for the direction of the album, Fridén stated that "it will be more uptempo" and feature "more guitar harmonies". Most of the songs even have titles by now, but the frontman declined to name them, especially since he was still writing lyrics will travelling in support of Judas Priest. The tour ended on Monday, March 14 in Böblingen, Germany.
It's big. It's bad. And it's back for more. Got a problem with that?
Ozzfest — the king of festivals — triumphantly returns this summer to celebrate its hard-earned 10th anniversary with the staggering line-up of BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, ROB ZOMBIE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SHADOWS FALL and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The summer's premier concert festival — which has propelled many of today’s rock bands to superstardom while paying close attention to its discerning fans — will roll out July 15 in Boston and visit 26 cities by the time it reaches West Palm Beach on September 4. The Hot Topic Second Stage will be headlined by ZOMBIE and feature a preview of rock's rising stars, including AS I LAY DYING, MASTODON, THE HAUNTED, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, BURY YOUR DEAD, SOILWORK, TRIVIUM, IT DIES TODAY, A DOZEN FURIES and more.
"I'm most proud of the success of Ozzfest," says founder Sharon Osbourne. "Everyone said it would never happen and 10 years later we are still in business." In fact, 125 bands, 238 shows and over 4 million fans later, the all-day extravaganza of music and deranged merriment is roaring louder than ever. History in the making, 2005 marks the first time metal legends BLACK SABBATH and IRON MAIDEN have toured together and also represents IRON MAIDEN's first Ozzfest appearance.
IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson said, "This summer's MAIDEN touring is based on the recent 'Early Days' DVD and all the songs we do at Ozzfest will be from our first four albums — 'Iron Maiden', 'Killers', 'Number of the Beast' and 'Piece of Mind'. We will be bringing over our full European show, naturally including as special guest Eddie in various appropriate guises!! The stage sets, production and backdrops will recreate aspects of the shows on the tours around those albums — only bigger… much bigger!!! We don’t know if anyone has done anything like this before but we think it’s something the fans will really appreciate both in the choice of songs and in the production values."
