Progressive instrumental trio DYSRHYTHMIA has announced a month-long U.S. headlining tour. This tour will kick-off on June 5th in Philadelphia, PA and will include special guests HEX MACHINE, TRIAC, OXBOW, AMERICAN HERITAGE, and more along the way.

Candiria will be releasing a rare tracks record this year. There's currently no official release date or title yet, but the band is in the process of putting together a collection of obscure tracks, live improvisations, and more. As previously reported, the band is also in the process of putting together a Candiria remix/re-inventions record including contributions from Dalek, Kayo Dot, Dub Trio, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Dysrhythmia, Indecisions, Spylacopa and more.
New York’s KRALLICE, the black metal outfit masterminded by guitar genius Mick Barr (OCRILIM, ORTHRELM etc.) and technical music wizard Colin Marston (BEHOLD… THE ARCTOPUS, DYSRHYTHMIA, BYLA, etc.), has completed work on their debut album.
The labels states in a press release: "In what will become one of the most cursed releases in the realm of black metal this year, the vision conjured up by Barr and Marston is an overwhelming amalgam of epic time-stretching visceral black metal that recalls the spirit brought forth with such acts as Burzum (first three albums), Weakling, Gorgoroth (particularly the “Antichrist” album), Ulver (particularly “Nattens Madrigal”) with of course the musical wizardry that Barr and Marston are known to portray with their prolific repertoire as its known, throughout the many circles within progressive and experimental music in which said musicians dwell within."
"Although Krallice does present a new voice for Barr and Marston (especially seeing that they pretty much dabble within instrumental music), Krallice not only adds to their prolific repertoire, but also strengthens it. With its layered, tremolo weaving, hypnotic and twisted guitar (dis)harmonics, vicious use of melody, elongated time-structures and Barr’s unique cavermous harsh wails, the debut Krallice album is a massive and surging work of demented unforgiving black metal art."
The tracklisting for the debut Krallice album is as follows:
1. Wretched Wisdom
3. Molec Codicies
5. Energy Chasms
6. Forgiveness In Rot
Look for the Krallice album to officially be released late July and an MP3 to be posted online very soon.

Philadelphia’s DYSRHYTHMIA has issued the following update:
“All three of us have been very busy outside of DYSRHYTHMIA recently. Jeff has a new band called ZEVIOUS. Colin has another new band which features the amazing Mick Barr and is yet to be named, but they’ll be releasing something later this year that is sure to be intense. I just finished up recording my guitar tracks for the upcoming JARBOE solo album (which Colin is recording here at the Menegroth studio in Queens). I’ve also started recording a solo guitar record which will be entirely acoustic. I’m hoping to have this out sometime later in the year and also play some shows/tour as well."
“In DYSRHYTHMIA news, we’re about a little more than halfway through writing the next record. Depending on long the last few songs take to write we could be back in the studio again by summer.”
Indricothere, the studio-only solo project of current Behold... the Arctopus, Dysrhythmia, etc. member Colin Marston, will release their "Prehistoric Caves" album with Gilead Media. The effort was originally released by The Sacrosanct Opuscule in September as 100 hand-made CDRs. Gilead Media will be re-releasing the "instru-tech-death-metal" album as an LP (with included CD) on March 25th, 2008. You can check out some material from the record here.
New York’s DYSRHYTHMIA and STAY FUCKED will perform at the Cake Shop in New York City on January 10th. You can find more information online here.
Relapse Records’ DYSRHYTHMIA have posted the following update:
“After much delay we now have in our hands the 12? vinyl version of ‘Barriers and Passages’ released through UK-based label Eyes of Sound. It looks and sounds great and comes in green and brown marble vinyl. You can purchase it easily online here. We’ll also be selling them at the upcoming Brooklyn, NY show November 13 @ Europa."
"Speaking of which, we’ll be playing 4 new songs at that show. So far we have nearly 30 minutes of new material written for the next record. We’re gonna keep writing though while the creative juices are flowing. If we have more than enough come time to record, then we will save what goes unused for another split or something. Having rehearsed this new stuff along with some of the older material recently, it makes us realize how much more intense and dark the new songs are.”
Philadelphia's progressive instrumental trio DYSRHYTHMIA has issued the following update:
"Our new split CD with [U.K.'s] ROTHKO titled 'Fractures' comes out August 28 on Acerbic Noise Developement Records. You can pre-order it here (along with the new shirt design as well) as well as listen to a clip of our track.
"We've been spending the summer writing for the next record. So far three songs are completed and two others are started. We'll begin playing out again this fall. A brief tour is in the works for the New York / Ohio / Michigan area October 5-13. A more extensive tour probably won't happen until the winter." More...
Guitarists Mike Lerner and Colin Marston appeared in the holiday issue of Guitar One Magazine and are play and sans-drums version of Alcoholocaust on the cd-rom that comes with the current issue.
Drummer Charlie Zeleny is going to Japan from February 4-12 to play duo with Jordan Rudess, keyboardist of Dream Theater. They are going to be playing Rudess Morgenstein Project and Rhythm of Time tunes with the whole thing being sponsored by Roland. He also completely finished tracking the Blotted Science drum parts for the "Machinations of Dementia" album with Ron Jarzombek of Spastic Ink, Gordian Knot and Watchtower and Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse. The album should come out sometime in 2007.
Colin's new recording studio, Menegroth, the Thousand Caves (thethousandcaves.com) is now up and running in New York City.
