Within Y Post New Song Online

A new WITHIN Y track, entitled "King Of Flies", has been posted on the group's MySpace page. The song comes off the Swedish melodic death metal band's third album, "The Cult", which is scheduled for release on February 27 via the Gothenburg-based label Gain. The CD artwork was created by Niklas Sundin of DARK TRANQUILLITY and Cabin Fever Media.

Within Y Complete New Album Recordings

Swedish melodic death metal band WITHIN Y has finished recording its third album, due in early 2008. "Andy [singer Andreas Solveström] has done the final vocal tracks this weekend," says the group. "We have also recorded some additional guitar melodies. Everything sounds awesome, and we are really pleased with the result so far. We are sure that [producer] Mattias [Wänerstam] will do a great job mixing the tracks!"

WITHIN Y has uploaded the demo version of a new song, entitled "Facing Reality", on its MySpace page. The track is expected to appear on the upcoming CD.

WITHIN Y in April recruited Erik Hagström as the replacement for Thim Blom (ex-GARDENIAN).

Blom left the group in December 2006, claiming that "pain in [his wrists]" made it impossible for him to "perform at the top of [his] abillity and to do what it takes to play at this level."

Within Y Post Studio Footage Online

Swedish melodic death metal band WITHIN Y has posted more video footage of some of the early recording sessions for its third album, due in early 2008. A two-minute clip covering more of the guitar recordings can be viewed here.

Within Y To Record New Album In Fall

"Sorry for the lack of updates the last months. We've had some things to take care of. We will soon start the recording of our new album, sometime during September/October if everything works out as it should. Swedish melodic death metal band WITHIN Y has recruited drummer Erik Hagström as the replacement for the recently departed Thim Blom (ex-GARDENIAN).

Blom left the group in December 2006, claiming that "pain in [his wrists]" made it impossible for him to "perform at the top of [his] abillity and to do what it takes to play at this level."

Within Y Recruits New Guitarist

The Swedish melodic death metal band Within Y have recruited a new member, since their former guitarist Niklas left his position in the band. The band have posted the following message at their official website:

We are proud to bring you the news that we have a new guitarist! He will replace Niklas, since he sadly decided to leave us last December. The new guy's name is Niknam Moslehi. Feel free to use the guestbook to make him feel welcome! New pics will be added soon.

Within Y To Play in Linkoping, Sweden

Swedish death/thrashers Within Y will play together with N.C.O., Evildoer and Deadawaken at The Rock - Linköping, October 23, in a show called "Börsen Made us Do It." It's a show where every band has a guy working in one of Musikbörsen music shops around Sweden. Hopefully this is something that will happen in more Swedish towns soon...
