Gaia Epicus Reveal Tracklisting Of New Album

Norwegian progressive power metallers GAIA EPICUS check in with the following update:

"Album number four will be named Damnation and is set to be released around March 2008. There will be guest musicians playing bass, keys and some guitar solos on this album. More about who is going to play later."

The tracklisting for Damnation is as follows: 'Damnation', 'Masters Of The Sea', 'Firestorm', 'The Wizard's Return (Instrumental)', 'You Are A Liar!', 'Cyborgs From Hell', 'The Saviour (Will Come)', 'A Hero In All' and 'Salvation Is Here'.

Gaia Epicus' Victory is now available as a limited edition with a bonus track. The bonus track is a cover song called 'What Else Is There?', from the Norwegian synth/pop band RÖYKSOPP. The album is currently only available at Epicus Records webshop but is soon to be released to music stores worldwide.

Gaia Epicus Press Limited Edition of "Victory"

Gaia Epicus Post 'New Life' Video Online

Norwegian power metallers GAIA EPICUS have posted their video for the song "New Life" at this location (Windows Media). The clip features home video footage taken during the last year, including from the recording sessions for the group's new album, various live shows and from the band's visit to Minneapolis in August 2006. The track comes off GAIA EPICUS's third album, "Victory", which is scheduled for release on January 26 through the band's own label, Epicus Records. According to a posting on the group's web site, "Epicus Records has signed distribution deals with these companies so far: The End Records for North America; Icare Media for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Metal Mundus for Poland; and LSP for The Netherlands and Belgium. This is where the albums will be available at first, but we are working on getting more distribution as soon as possible."

Three songs from "Victory" — "New Life", "Iron Curtain" and "Rise of the Empire" — are available for listening at Epicus Records' MySpace page. Gaia Epicus Slam Former Record Label

Norwegian power metallers GAIA EPICUS have gone public with their feud with their former record label, Portugal's Sound Riot Records, over the company's alleged unprofessional and dishonest treatment of their acts. A special section on the GAIA EPICUS web site features first-hand accounts from other band that are/were signed to the company regarding their dealings with Sound Riot and their experiences working with the company. GAIA EPICUS have set "Victory" as the title of their third album, "Victory", tentatively due later in the year. The band's final release for Sound Riot was "Symphony of Glory", which was recorded and mixed over a five-week period at Top Room Studios (TRISTANIA, VINTERSORG, BORKNAGAR) with producer Børge Finstad. The CD was mastered at Bazement Studios.

Gaia Epicus Announce New Drummer

Norwegian power metallers GAIA EPICUS have announced the addition of drummer Ole A. Myrholt (ARCHON, DIABOLICAL, BREED, ENSLAVEMENT OF BEAUTY, I WAS FLESH ONCE, VALE, THE WHIPCORDS) to the group's ranks. "Myrholt is no stranger to the music industry as he has been in many bands," the group write on their web site. "Now he is a member of GAIA and we are sure he will do a great job of pounding the drums for the band."

GAIA EPICUS have recently uploaded their video for the track "Hands of Fate" (Windows Media). The clip was shot "outdoors in the forest" in August and features a guest appearance on drums by Robert Myrhaug (MEMORIZED DREAMS).

"Hands of Fate" comes off the group's second album, "Symphony of Glory", available now on Sound Riot Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Satrap" was recorded and mixed over a five-week period at Top Room Studios (TRISTANIA, VINTERSORG, BORKNAGAR) with producer Børge Finstad and features artwork by Michael A. Gaia Epicus Announce New Bassist

Norwegian power metallers GAIA EPICUS have announced the addition of bassist Hans Aage Holmen (ex-ENSLAVEMENT OF BEAUTY) to the group's ranks. "This guy is a wizard on his six-string bass guitar, and he can play fast as hell with his fingers," the band write on their web site.

GAIA EPICUS, who are currently seeking a drummer, are scheduled to release their second album, "Symphony of Glory", in July via Sound Riot Records. Less a musician on the scene! Yngve Hanssen, the bassist player of the Norwegian Power Metal band Gaia Epicus died in a car crash on 2nd March 2005, sad to know he died so young!! R.I.P.

Gaia Epicus Seeking New Drummer

Norwegian power metallers Gaia Epicus have parted ways with drummer Mikael Duna. "He will put the drumsticks away for good!" the band write on their web site. "He has made this decision because he just didn't feel like playing anymore. Gaia Epicus says thanks for all the good times and good drumming that he did for the band, and wish him all the best. Mikael will, however, play any shows that might come up until we have found a new drummer.

"We are now looking for a replacement. So, if you are an excellent drummer [who] loves our kind of music then please contact us for a audition. P.S.: You must be over
18 years old and live in North of Norway (or be willing to move if you're the right one for the band)."

As previously reported, Gaia Epicus will have their second album, "Symphony of Glory", mastered on or around January 10 at Bazement Studios (Mob Rules, Vanden Plas, Symphony X) in Germany.

"Symphony of Glory" is scheduled for release in February/March via Sound Riot Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Satrap" was recorded and mixed over a five-week period at Top Room Studios (Tristania, Vintersorg, Borknagar) with producer Børge Finstad and will feature artwork by Michael A. Norwegian speed-power metallers Gaia Epicus are currently with the producer Børge Finstad at famous Top Room Studios (used by Tristania, Vintersog, Borknagar), recording their 2nd album. They will take 5 weeks at studio. The album title will be "Symphony of Glory" and songs include "Wings of Freedom," "Time & Space" and "Be Thy Cross My Victory." Michael A.
