Italian blackened doom metal act Shores of Null have issued details on the upcoming debut release "Quiescence." The album drops on March 24th via Candlelight Records.

"Born with the sole aim of exploring the darker side of metal music, absorbing elements of gothic, doom, melodic death metal and other subgenres. It is something distant from the musical approach of the mother bands, some of which got over 10 years of experience under their belt (The Orange Man Theory, Zippo). Crushing epic riffs and impressive gloomy vocals are combined here with dismal lyrics and misty soundscapes, where the whole plot can be described as epic, intense and very peculiar."

The track list for "Quiescence" is:

Shores Of Null Signs With Candlelight

Candlelight Records is proud to announce the signing of Italian melodic blackened doom band Shores Of Null. The label comments on the band's sound by stating:

"Crushing epic riffs and impressive gloomy vocals combined with dismal lyrics and misty soundscapes. A dark epic compendium of doom, gothic and melodic death metal. For fans of: Enslaved, Opeth, Katatonia, Swallow The Sun, Amorphis, Insomnium."

The band had this to add: “Joining the Candlelight family is an incredible milestone for a band like us. When we started this project one year ago we couldn’t imagine things to become so serious so quickly, and this is great. The sound of Shores Of Null fits perfectly into the Candlelight parameters, we are very thrilled about it. We are one hundred percent satisfied about the album that is going to come out and we definitely can't wait any longer to share it with you. We feel 2014 will be a colossal year for us.”

Guitarist Gabriele Giaccari states: “Candlelight records has always been the label of some of my favourite bands and among the very first choices when we started looking for a label. I'm very excited and honestly I couldn’t think of a better home for our music.”

The “Quiescence” album will be released in early spring, with more news coming soon. More...
