Retraction: If Hope Dies Not Opening For COB

Metal Blade has stated that news of If Hope Dies opening in the rotating opening slot on the Children of Bodom tour is not accurate. The band are expected to open on one, currently unspecified, date of teh tour, however.

If Hope Dies confirms Opening Spot w/ COB

If Hope Dies are currently on tour with A Love for Enemies and The Burning Season spreading the word about their debut effort Life in Ruin which is due out March 7th via Ironclad Recordings/Metal Blade Records.

The band was recently interviewed by Mtv.com and you can read the interview here.

If Hope Dies also just confirmed a rotating spot on Children of Bodom’s Spring US Tour. Main support will be split between God Forbid and Chimaira; also on the bill are Bullet for My Valentine.

If Hope Dies Tracklisting and New MP3

If Hope Dies new album Life In Ruin is due out March 7th via Ironclad Recordings/Metal Blade Records. The album was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Jason Suecof (Trivium, God Forbid, Roadrunner All Stars) at Audiohammer Studios in Orlando, Florida this past October. A new track "Fear Will Keep Them in Line" can be heard at Ironclad Recordings' official site or their MySpace page.

Manntis Check In From The Road, Video Posted

The explosive Southern California quintet Manntis are currently annihilating crowds on the 10 Years of Brutality Tour alongside Hatebreed, Most Precious Blood, Full Blown Chaos, Gizmachi and If Hope Dies, which runs through Nov. 23rd. Their first video, "Axe of Redemption," is now in heavy rotation on Fuse's Metal Asylum and MTV2's Headbangers Ball. Click here to watch video.

More details regarding If Hope Dies' upcoming album have been revealed. The group are currently in Orlando, FL at Audiohammer Studios with producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, God Forbid). The effort has been titled "Life In Ruin" and will hit stores in February via Ironclad Records/Metal Blade Records.

Unearth, Chimaira, God Forbid Play "Mini Hellfest"

Because Hellfest was cancelled this year in New Jersey, Unearth has announced on their website that they played last night (Aug 18) at the Starland Ballroom with Chimaira, God Forbid, Madball, Nora, Six Feet Under, the Banner and If Hope Dies.

The entire schedule for Hellfest has finally been released. HELLFEST 2K5 takes place on August 19-21 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. Danzig Confirmed To Headline NEMHF

Danzig and special guest Doyle have been confirmed as the Saturday headliner for the seventh annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, to be held Friday-Sunday, April 22-24 at the Palladium in Worcester, Mass.

In addition to the regular Danzig set, Doyle with join the band for a blistering 30-minute set of classic Misfits material. Danzig and Doyle have performed together just three times during Danzig’s recent tour – their first performances together in over 21 years.

Hatebreed, Unearth and Obituary will headline Friday night.

Saturday’s other headliners will include Chimaira and Cryptopsy.

Sunday’s headliners are King Diamond, Nile and Soilwork.

Metal Blade Signs Distro Deal With Two Labels

Metal Blade Records has recently signed on to handle distribution for Blackmarket Activities, Guy Kozowyk from The Red Chord's label, and Iron Clad Recordings, Trevor Phipps from Unearth's label. This means that fans that have been having a hard time locating releases from either of these labels will now be able to find them in all the stores that Metal Blade Records and it's distributor Red works with. Both labels will be re-releasing certain CD's, some which will have revamped packaging and bonus material. For more information on what the re-releases will contain you can check any of the labels' or bands' websites. Release schedule is as follows:

Back from the Six Feet Under/Internal Bleeding mini-tour. Some good times, but we were off before any true tour bonding. We wish them the best on the rest of their tour w/ Premonitions of War picking up after us. We have a few shows throughout the fall and more TBA, but only weekend shows for now as we are barrelling down to write the new record.
