Temperance Shares New Single
After the well-received release of their latest album, "Diamanti," Temperance is back for more! The modern melodic metal aficionados have come through with an uncompromising single, "Set Yourself Free" – a bonus track cut from the official digital deluxe version of the album, out today via Napalm Records! Rhythmic guitars meet melodies and grand compositions, unfolding Temperance's combined vocal powers to their fullest potential. "Set Yourself Free" is one of Temperance's heaviest songs yet!
This melodic metal triumph prepares listeners for the band’s upcoming show in London at Underworld on March 29, 2022. That night, the Italian quintet will proudly headline The International Women of Rock Unity Tour as a special guest, alongside Control The Storm and Alia Tempora.
Marco Pastorino (vocals, guitar) comments on the new single:
"'Set Yourself Free’ is probably the most modern metal track we recorded during Diamanti's sessions. It's an extra song for special moments like this, so we decided to release it to celebrate our comeback on stage after two years. Enjoy and let's sing it with us!" More...
Fallen Sanctuary Signs With AFM Records
AFM Records is proud to announce the signing of a very special new band: Fallen Sanctuary, led by masterminds Georg Neuhauser (singer of Serenity) and Marco Pastorino (guitarist of Temperance), who indulge their common love for melodic power metal here. The two became friends in 2018 during a joint tour and soon realised that they pretty much share musical idols and tastes.
Neuhauser: "Marco and I often got talking at night on the tour bus to the next show with Serenity and Temperance. It was amazing that we have so many favourite bands in common. And since we also get along really well on a personal level and live only a four-hour drive apart, we came up with the idea of releasing an album together some day."
It would appear that "some day" has now arrived: June 2022, Neuhauser and Pastorino's debut album "Terranova," released under the moniker of Fallen Sanctuary. The new band also features a permanent rhythm section consisting of Alfonso Mocerino on drums and bassist Gabriele Gozzi, who will complement Fallen Sanctuary live on stage.
"The quality of Fallen Sanctuary convinced and amazed us right away," says AFM Records A&R Timo Hoffmann. "The passion and dedication, their attention to detail and the super high standards they set for themselves, make Fallen Sanctuary stand out. Songwriting, performance and production are on an immensely high level and will thrill fans of varied Melodic Power Metal. In addition, Georg and Marco are such positive characters that we are very much looking forward to working with them." More...
Temperance Reveals New Album Details
After releasing their vibrant fifth studio album, "Viridian," in 2020, Temperance – maestros of modern melodic/symphonic metal – delight their devotees with the persuasive new offering "Diamanti," to be released on November 19, 2021 via Napalm Records. With "Diamanti," the exceptionally skilled Italian outfit once again showcases their extraordinary ability to merge brilliant vocal melodies, hefty power metal guitar riffing, and symphonic soundscapes in perfect harmony – all dressed in modern surroundings. This is an offering that fans of bands like Amaranthe will fall in love with immediately!
The new single, "Breaking The Rules of Heavy Metal," breaks in with full force, telling an epic tale and creating a far-reaching sense of common bond. This absolute anthem showcases the powerful strength and energy of all three vocalists Alessia Scolletti, Michele Guaitoli and Marco Pastorino, providing a taste of the upcoming album.
Michele Guaitoli (vocals, piano) on the new single:
"If there is one thing that makes Temperance unique on the scene, is that we just don’t care about any commercial rule. We write our music for how we like it. We don’t ask ourselves “will this work?” We don’t question our songwriting putting it in relation of the market.
"This attitude is the same that we have when it comes to accepting limits: we don’t accept the idea of having limits. We are here to break the rules. Why just one singer? Let’s have three. Why just a style? Let’s play many. If we want something, we fight for it even if we need to break the rules of a certain scheme. What about heavy metal? Does it have rules? Does it have a scheme? If yes, we’re here to break it." More...
