Frontiers Music Srl is truly pleased to announce the signing of another Italian musical treasure, the melodic metal act Secret Sphere, for a multi-album deal. Frontiers plans to release the band's new live CD/DVD "Live In Tokyo" in the fall of 2016 with the new album expected to come in the early months of 2017.
Secret Sphere honor the heritage of big names in the metal scene by creating a very unique brand of Symphonic Power Metal: catchy refrains, majestic arrangements, and a multitude of musical influences (from hard rock to progressive metal) which make up the ingredients of the musical recipe.
The band was founded in the summer of 1997 by guitar player and composer Aldo Lonobile. With 8 albums under the band’s belt, extensive tours, and great live shows around the world (including support slots for King Diamond and Gamma Ray and festival appearances at ProgPower USA, ProgPower UK, ProgPower Scandinavia, Metal Dayz, Gods Of Metal, and many more), Secret Sphere is one of the most exciting Melodic Metal bands around.
The band’s latest original release, the critically acclaimed “Portrait Of A Dying Heart” – the first to feature extraordinary vocalist Michele Luppi - received overwhelmingly positive reviews and praise from fans and was heralded worldwide as one the best melodic metal albums of 2012. Some of you may recognize vocalist Michele Luppi's name as he was chosen to be the official keyboardist for the Whitesnake/David Coverdale “The Purple Album” World Tour.
Guitarist/composer Aldo Lonobile commented: "As fan of Frontiers for many years, I'm very excited to work with them! It's such a great honor to read Secret Sphere name alongside many of my idols. Currently we are working on the final touches of our release ‘Live in Tokyo,’ recorded during the headlining tour of Japan and the writing process for the new album is running smoothly. There is a huge message behind the new music again and we are focused more than ever to deliver the best Secret Sphere album to date!!! Later in 2016 we will be again on tour."
Vocalist Michele Luppi added: “I'm truly happy to get to work again with the Frontiers family after 7 years. We are determined to write the best Secret Sphere album ever – get ready!” More...
Italian power/progressive act Secret Sphere has re-recorded the highly acclaimed 2011 sophomore album "A Time Never Come" with the current lineup, including renowned singer Michele Luppi, with whom the band released their latest album "Portrait Of A Dying Heart." The re-recorded version was mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination !Studios. Brand new artwork - shown below - was created by Nathalia Suellen (Dark Moor, Almah).
"A Time Never Come" originally jump started Secret Sphere's career and is now considered one of European power metal’s finest moments: a cross between Queensryche, Helloween and Fates Warning, with plenty of captivating melodies and great orchestral arrangements.
Secret Sphere’s mastermind and guitarist Aldo Lonobile commented: "Due to an overwhelming demand, we had initially planned to re-release ‘A Time Never Come’ exclusively for the Japanese market, but later on we thought that would have been cool to make it available in all the other territories.
"This is album has been a milestone for our career and this year marks the 15th anniversary of us entering the studio to record it. We didn’t want it to be a nostalgic move but give the album a new life, with new arrangements and new graphics.
Mission accomplished if you ask me!"
More information, including the release date, will be announced soon. More...

Italian power metal band Secret Sphere has announced that its new vocalist will be none other than Ex-Vision Divine vocalist Michele Luppi. In addition to fronting Vision Divine from 2003-2008, Luppi also fronts Finnish power/progressive band Thaurorod and Italy's Killing Touch.
The band made the following announcement on its website this morning:
"As previously stated by band the vocalist replacement is a new beginning, especially after more than 10 years of a career, there are risks to make mistakes and lost years of work, otherwise you can bring the band to the next level and find the missing link to give the right dimension to the project....And definitively for Secret Sphere we are talking about the second option, no doubt that they will bring their career to the next level with the addition of extraordinary singer Michele Luppi.
"He doesn't need any kind of introduction, with his music he widely demonstrates his talent and in a very short time Michele contributed to the new album writing lyrics and melodies, delivering one his best works to date.
" 'We're extremely happy to welcome Michele to our family' are the first words of Aldo Lonobile, mastermind of the band since the beginning...'everybody knows what Michele can do with his voice, so I prefer to spend few words saying that I found a great person to work with and a great new friend and for sure you will catch the great atmosphere we have inside the band listening to the new album!!!!'
" 'I'm very proud to be the new singer of this fantastic group! All the guys in the band made me feel part of the family ever since we met for the first time.' states Michele 'Our forthcoming album 'Portrait Of A Dying Heart' is by far one of the best album I've done, though I'm still recording my vocals. I wanna thank them for their trust and belief, and I'm willing to share all my experience and passion in order to write and perform our music the best way we can... For us and, most of all, for you.'

Italian symphonic power band SECRET SPHERE has set "Sweet Blood Theory" as the title of its new album, due later in the year. The CD was recorded between December 2007 and February 2008 at Authoma Studios by Federico Pennazzato and mixed in March 2008 at Germany's Indiscreet Audio by Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, BRAINSTORM).
According to a press release, "Sweet Blood Theory" is a concept album based on the novel "The Vampire", written by John William Polidori in 1814. The book is widely considered to be one of the earliest novels to include a vampire character.
To embrace the concept and create the music for this fantasy epic, the band took inspiration from the famous movie director Tim Burton ("Nightmare Before Christmas", "The Corpse Bride", "Edward Scissorhands" etc) in trying to re-create the typical atmospheres of his most famous movies in both the orchestral score (reminiscent of that of Danny Elfman, who did the music for the aforementioned Tim Burton movies) and for the artwork. The result is huge step forward for the band — the music is as aggressive as before yet keeping the typical SECRET SPHERE melodic touch.
SECRET SPHERE's "Heart & Anger" album was released in May 2005 via Nuclear Blast Records.
