Commented Doro Pesch: "Along with T.Rex, Led Zeppelin was among my all-time favorite bands of the 70s. They were four phenomenal musicians, who did not only come up with excellent rock songs, but also with wonderful ballads - such as 'Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,' a very emotional track and among my personal faves of the band. This is why it became the first choice for our 'Raise Your Fist - Anniversary Edition.'" More...

LED ZEPPELIN 2, the cover band featuring bassist Chris Klein, drummer Ian Lee, guitarist Paul Kamp and vocalist Bruce Lamont, will ring in the new year with a North American tour set to kick off this Friday. The flashbacks will commence in Chicago with two dates at the House Of Blues on January 7 and 8. The band will then wind through nearly a month's worth of dates before drawing to a close on February 12 in Denver at The Gothic Theatre.
LED ZEPPELIN 2 brings you the excitement of Led Zeppelin "In Concert" by re-enacting the live improvisation and onstage interaction that earned Led Zeppelin their legendary status for performing. Rather than a "greatest hits" show, you get to experience Zeppelin as Zeppelin would have played live in front of an audience. LZ2 sold out venues across the U.S. in 2010 and have drawn rave reviews for a "spot-on" Zeppelin show, playing deep cuts and classic tracks from the entire catalog, and occasionally entire Led Zeppelin performances from specific dates.
Most widely recognized for his saxophone and vocal work fronting Chicago's Yakuza, Bruce Lamont has contributed to a plethora of other projects including Bloodiest (featuring members of 90 Day Men, Sterling), Circle of Animals (with Sanford Parker, Minsk/The High Confessions) and Sick Gazelle (with Eric Block and Sanford Parker). He's also recorded with Sigh, East West Blast Test, Minsk, Nachtmystium, Rabid Rabbit, Brutal Truth, Cephalic Carnage, Sweet Cobra, Locrian, Hex Machine and more.
Commented Lamont of the upcoming LED ZEPPELIN 2 dates: "I never thought back when we started LED ZEPPELIN 2, for fun mind you, that we would ever embark on a full U.S. tour. I am really excited to do it. It's an honor and a pleasure to sing and perform some of the greatest music ever made."

BANG Showbiz is reporting: Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant had a car crash with a drugs counselor. The rocker was driving his Audi A8 car when he collided with driver Richard Grant at a junction in North West London.
Grant - who is a counselor for charity Turning Point - was knocked unconscious and suffered whiplash in the smash, but came round to find the singer standing nearby.
Plant – whose car was damaged beyond repair in the accident - said: "My Mercedes is smashed up and I'm not in a good way."
Plant, 60, is not thought to have been seriously hurt in the accident.
After raising hell for most of the 1970’s, today LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant received a CBE from Prince Charles for “services to music” four years after bandmate Jimmy Page was awarded an OBE.
LED ZEPPELIN has sold over 200m albums worldwide. In December 2007 the band reunited to play a one-off show before nearly 20,000 fans at London’s 02 Arena with the late Bonham’s son Jason playing the drums.
Reports are coming in that John Paul Jones, best known as the bass player for the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, has formed a new band with Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Probot) and Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Eagles Of Death Metal.) There are no further details at this time.
The organizers of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has revealed the list of names who will be inducting the legends being entered this year. The biggest news for metal fans is that Flea, bass player of rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be presenting Metallica with their achievement at the ceremony. Also announced as presenters are Eminem, who will be inducting Run DMC, Jimmy Page who will induct Jeff Beck and Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood who will induct Bobby Womack.
Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy has confirmed that he auditioned to be Robert Plant's replacement in Led Zeppelin, after the vocalist declined to be involved with a potential world tour.
"It was surreal," Kennedy told US radio's The Blairing Out With Eric Blair show. "Alter Bridge will go on, and that's that. It was great. I'll tell that story some day."
Despite reports contradicting reports earlier this month, Jimmy Page's manager says that Led Zeppelin will not be touring or recording in 2009 and is, in fact, "over."
Peter Mensch, whose company Q Prime also represents Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lostprophets and Muse, had told the BBC's digital station 6Music that:
"John Paul Jones [bass] and Jimmy Page [guitar] enjoy playing with each other, Jason Bonham is a really good drummer so why not? We just need to find a singer."
However, in an interview with Music Radar this on January 7, Mensch said:
"They tried out a few singers [to replace Robert Plant], but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero."
"Led Zeppelin are over," he added. "If you didn't see them in 2007 [at London's O2 Arena], you missed them. It's done. I can't be any clearer than that. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it."
January 12 marked the 40th anniversary of the release of Led Zeppelin's eponymous debut album.
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant received one of Britain's topmost honors today in a ceremony that also included jazz saxaphonist Courtenay Pine and fantasy novelist Terry Pratchett being inducted into the Order of the British Empire. More...

Led Zeppelin fans hoping that legendary frontman Robert Plant will change his mind about joining his former bandmates on tour will be disapointed to hear that he will be entering the studio with Alison Krauss in January to record another album with the acclaimed musician.
“In January, I’m starting to record a new album with ALISON KRAUSS and T BONE BURNETT,” he revealed, before adding “but I understand that everyone’s got to eat,” implying that the Plant-less Led Zep has his blessing.
