The Norse old-school black metal miscreants from Wan are set to release "Wan Way to Hell," their third and most devastating album to date, on February 10th via Carnal Records.
Wan was formed in 2009 as a triad of aggression with the intent of bringing metal back to its roots - raw, filthy, and in the gutter with a twist of punk. A year later, the band released first full-length "Wolves of the North."
Core members Aganaroth, Isengrim, and Tsjud recruited drummer Dimman for the 2013 follow-up "Enjoy the Filth." Dimman's time in Wan was short-lived, opening the door for current skin-basher Draup.
"Wolves of the North" was re-recorded in 2015 and released together with "Enjoy the Filth" as a limited gatefold double LP. The band has since brought primal, old-school black metal to several stages in preparation for this upcoming deadliest release to date. More...

Swedish black metal horde Wan has announced the addition of drummer Draup to its ranks. Draup commandeered the drum throne in late December to replace former skinsman Dimman, who joined the band prior to the recording of their sophomore release, "Enjoy the Filth," and left shortly after its release.
Wan vocalist Tsjud states: "We are proud to announce that a new skin beater has been recruited. Our northern brother Draup will from now on handle the drums, and we're sure he´ll do a ruthless contribution."
In late December, Wan entered Hammer Regime Studios to record new material. More news on this as it comes. "Enjoy the Filth" was released in October on Carnal Records.
Swedish Black Metallers Wan have parted ways with their drummer Dimman, who joined the band prior to the recording of their sophomore release "Enjoy the Filth." In a statement posted on the band's Facebook page, bassist Isengrim stated:
"We are sad to have to announce that Dimman will be leaving the band. Due to personal reasons, he feels he can't bring what is needed. He will always be a big part of our Northern Brotherhood and will of course be welcomed back if he wants to. Good luck with everything brother!"
"Enjoy the Filth" was released in October on Carnal Records. Gun Shy Assassin is streaming the album's title track at this location.
"Enjoy the Filth," the second album from Swedish black metal band Wan, is out now on Sweden's Carnal Records. Equal parts filth and ferocity, the followup to 2010's "Wolves of the North" takes its cues from the early masters and twists it into a nightmare of sound all its own. Gun Shy Assassin is getting in on the action by posting an exclusive stream of the album's title track. Experience the evil at this location.
