Agent Steel Post New Song Online
A new track by California-based metallers AGENT STEEL, entitled "Hail to the Chief", has been posted to the Mascot Records MySpace page. The song comes off the group's new album, "Alienigma", due in September via Mascot Records.

Obscene Gesture Sign To Xtreem Music
Los Angeles Old School Thrashcore fuckers OBSCENE GESTURE have just inked a deal with XTREEM MUSIC for the release of their debut full length "Living In Profanity" whose release date has been set up in August 1st. The band features some recognized names in the scene such as Chuck Profus (original ex-AGENT STEEL drummer), George Robb (original ex-AGENT STEEL bass) and no other than Juan Garcia (original & current AGENT STEEL guitarist as well as ex-ABATTOIR & EVILDEAD).
HELLWITCH"Living In Profanity" includes 21 tracks at a blistering 37 minutes and was produced by L.A. producer Rob Hill (Cypress Hill, Powerman5000, Agent Steel, Tourettes, ect...). The band is currently setting up a West Coast tour, sharing some dates with L.A. bands AGENT STEEL and INSECTICIDE.

Agent Steel Ink Deal With Mascot Records
California-based metallers AGENT STEEL have inked a deal with Holland's Mascot Records.
The label has issued the following: "Mascot Records has inked a deal with legendary metal band Agent Steel to further strengthen it’s growing metal roster. The band are currently in the process of finalizing the songs for the new (yet to be titled) album that will be produced by Bill Metoyer (SLAYER, DARK ANGEL, HELSTAR). Release is scheduled for first quarter of 2007 with a tour (with label mates VICIOUS RUMORS) starting in March."
Guitarist Juan Garcia states, "The recording of the new album is coming along great; vocals are finished and sound killer! Guitar tones are heavy! Drums tracks are solid as ever! And the bass tone will make Cliff Burton proud. Ten new songs, some minor touch ups and some guitar solos still need to be completed before Bill Metoyer mixes down the new tracks.“

Swedish metallers MORGANA LEFAY and California's AGENT STEEL have just been confirmed for Chicago Powerfest 2006. Due to an overwhelming response stemming from both last year's Powerfest performance and the success of their latest release, "Grand Materia", MORGANA LEFAY has been invited to return for a repeat performance. The last remaining band (headliner) will be announced in the next week or two, with additional ticket and event details to follow.
Chicago Powerfest, the fourth annual metal fest featuring both veteran and up-and-coming bands from various sub-genres of metal, will take place on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 at Mr. Kelley's Music Box in Chicago Heights, IL. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are ELDRITCH, BIOMECHANICAL, ION VEIN, TWELFTH GATE, GRACEPOINT, MIRROR BLACK and WITHERING SOUL.
"Monsters of Metal" Show Details Revealed
The first annual "Monsters of Metal" show hits Salt Lake City, Utah. The show is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th at "Club Vegas" in Salt Lake City for this one time appearance by Helstar, Agent Steel, Katagory V and Avenger of Blood. Ronny Munroe, lead singer of Metal Church, will be making a special appearance as the emcee and will be hosting this special metal show. "Salt Lake City has a big following of Metal music and is a perfect place to put this show and that's why we are bringing this here," states Jeff Baker of Loud Production Co. of Las Vegas, Nevada who is putting this show on along with Salt Lake City promoters Mr. Toast/Triamid Productions. Legendary frontman James Rivera of Houston, Texas band Helstar is excited by this show because Salt Lake City has always treated him well and has a loyal following of fans there. Agent Steel Enter the Studio Later this Month
California-based metallers AGENT STEEL will enter the studio on October 17 with producer Bill Metoyer to begin recording their new album for an early 2006 release. The band debuted five new songs ("Hail to the Chief", "Wash the Planet Clean", "Liberty Lying Bleeding", "Fashioned from Dust" and "Fire Dragon") during their recent shows in San Diego and San Marcos (both in California) to "a very positive" reaction from the audience, according to a posting on the group's web site.
AGENT STEEL will play two shows with HELSTAR in Texas in mid-October. The details are as follows:

Thrash Against Cancer Wrapup
Over 700 metal fans turned out for the Thrash Against Cancer benefit on July 9 at the Pound amphitheatre in San Francisco. Bands playing the benfit included: TESTAMENT, HIRAX, LAAZ ROCKIT, VICIOUS RUMORS, MUDFACE, AGENT STEEL, IMAGIKA, DEKAPITATOR, KAOS, BROCAS HELM, RIGHTEOUS SIRE, HANGAR 18, NEIL TURBIN'S DEATHRIDERS (featuring original ANTHRAX vocalist Neil Turbin), DREAMS OF DAMNATION (featuring former DARK ANGEL guitarist Jim Durkin), ANGER AS ART, MYSTIC RAGE.
Keith Regan, whose family is one of the recipients of the proceeds from the show, was extremely pleased with how the event turned out. “The crew from TAC deserves the utmost respect and praise from my family and everyone who decided to attend the show, “ Regan said. “They were instrumental in every aspect of the behind the scenes and made the day go as smooth as it could be. The show it self was incredible! All the people that approached us had nothing but high praise to say about every band!” Regan is looking into organizing another Thrash Against Cancer show next year, possibly involving different genres of music, in order to raise money for families with children who have pediatric cancer.

Agent Steel DVD To Hit The Steets In March
The Following update comes in from Agent Steel:
Greetings! We've been in writing mode now for sometime and the new material is coming along; at this time we have 9 completed songs (8 of which we will use for sure for the new album). We can reveal a few of the new song titles: "Curse reborn," "Hail to the chief," "Wash this planet clean" (free sample mp3 available at agentsteelonline.com). Plans are to write another 4 songs and then start the recording process. We are scheduled to perform live at the Keep-It-True Festival in Germany on April 2nd 2005 with more live dates TBA. Our live DVD is still in the works; the as-yet-untitled disc to be released by Scarlet records; will mainly include live footage from our appearance at Dynamo Open Air 2004 festival in Holland and also a few songs from the warm up show at the Effenaar in Eindhoven and some bonus material. Expect the DVD to be hit the streets in late March 2005.
Angel Steel Celebrate 20-Year Anniversary
Reunited California speed metallers Agent Steel have just celebrated the 20-year anniversary of their first live appearance, which took place in 1984 at Chuck Landis' Country Club in Reseda, California as the opening act for Slayer.
Agent Steel are currently writing material for the follow-up to last year's "Order of the Illuminati," tentatively due in 2005. The band are also planning on releasing a live DVD on Scarlet Records in the months to come. The as-yet-untitled disc will reportedly include live footage from the group's appearance at Dynamo Open Air 2004 festival in Holland.
