The Walking Dead Orchestra Streams New Album

"Resurrect," the latest full-length from French death metal collective The Walking Dead Orchestra, is available for streaming in full in the player at the bottom. The album was just released this past Friday, October 13th via Unique Leader Records.

Said the band of the self-produced offering, "We conditioned ourselves to unleash our primal influences, it's a back-to-the-roots process with old-school riffs tuned to the more modern sound. We are proud of this combination. Each song has its own identity. We recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire album by ourselves at our own studio, Spike Recording Studio, which allowed us to keep every step of the production process under control. This gave us the time and freedom to really develop our sound. This album imposes an ambiance with many twists and surprises and the songs structures are more mature. This is a new chapter for the band but also for the Architect, the main character of The Walking Dead Orchestra's concept which takes place through a post-apocalyptic world. The artwork reflects The Walking Dead Orchestra's universe and illustrates each situation our main character goes through."

French death metal legion The Walking Dead Orchestra is the latest addition to Unique Leader Records' expanding roster of brutality. The group will release a self-produced, as-yet-untitled second full-length album later this year.

Issues the band, "Two years of hard work were necessary for the writing and production process of this record. We decided to propose a more mature, personal, and of course, wilder record than our first album. We went back to our roots with straight, old-school death metal riffs.

"Our choice to develop our own identity pushed us to record, mix, and master the album ourselves. This is a new chapter in the band's story. We promise many surprises. We are proud to join the Unique Leader family for the release of this record. Run! Epidemic is coming." More...

The Walking Dead Orchestra Posts Music Video

French deathcore quintet The Walking Dead Orchestra has a brand new video out now for "Entombment of a Monarch," which can be viewed below.

Directed by Medhi Khadouj, the track comes from the band’s debut full-length album "Architects of Destruction," due out this Friday, September 27th via Klonosphere Records/Season of Mist. The following press release was also issued about the band:

"Formed in 2011 by ex-members of Whisper-X and In Arkadia, The Walking Dead Orchestra is a brutal deathcore five-piece from Grenoble, France, whose primary goal is to declare war on the listener, assaulting their senses with a heavy bombardment of machine-gun drumming and crushing, brutal riffs.

"In the following year, they released a split CD with Ecuadorian band Descomunal, which managed to generate a bit of buzz in the underground community and even granted them the chance to tour in Latin America, culminating in a performance at Ecuador’s prestigious festival QuitoFest. Now in 2013, The Walking Dead Orchestra are ready to go to war again and create some serious damages in the pit with their massive debut full-length 'Architects of Destruction,' which was recorded and mixed by Mickael Valesi at Sonovore Studio (Macôn) and mastered by Charles J. Wall ((Whitechapel, Betraying the Martyrs, King Conquer) at Sonic Assault Studio." More...
