On October 31st, RidingEasy Records will unleash a special split 10” vinyl featuring new music from both Windhand and Salem’s Pot. The pre-sale goes live here on September 27th, and the pressing is limited to 1,000.
On Side A, Windhand (Relapse Records) delivers the billowing "Forest Clouds," A ten-minute journey through a haze of distortion and vocal wails, emblematic of the band’s technical prowess and thunderous energy. In other Salem’s Pot news, the Swedish psychedelic sorcerers will be playing the 2015 Roadburn Festival, is releasing the smoking 7” record “Ego Trip” on October 14th, and will be on tour in February 2015 with label mates Monolord.

The long awaited Doommantia Vol. 2 anthology has been released. This compilation was put together to raise money to benefit Ed Barnard, founder of Doommantia.com. After suffering with heart problems for years, Ed was hit with astronomical hospital bills which left him homeless. Due to the lack of decent healthcare in the US, Ed has now returned to his homeland of Australia to receive the care he deserves.
To help him with living expenses, 84 bands and artists from all over the world have come together once again to ease the burden left upon Ed. Just a nominal sum (with an option to pay more) gets you over 9 hours of some of the best doom, stoner, sludge, psychedelic, and drone jams out there.
