The Obscene Extreme America mosh pit just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The festival takes place in Montreal, QC from August 20th - 23rd, with the organizers issuing this statement about new confirmations:
"Fatal Flaw - Don’t get fooled by the band name! The only weakness these Montreal crustcore lunatics have is not being able to control the anger & ferocity that goes through their music. Raging crust punk is what you’ll get at OEF America and the only flaw possible is the lack of people in the mosh pit. Don’t make this happen, get your ass in the pit or you will feel the wrath of Fatal Flaw!
"The Drip - They're pissed off & ready to unleash the most barbaric grindcore the east-coast have ever witnessed. Washington State's The Drip deliver merciless fast-paced grind in a non stop onslaught of aggression & intensity. Get ready for a presentation of gruesome poetics while this modern grindcore band spread chaos through their blasting & unhealthy tunes.
"Noisem - Baltimore's Noisem will blast their vicious tunes in such a destructive velocity, it will feel like someone's shredding your fucking face with a cheesegrater. Formerly known as Necropsy, this young band's playing abrasive death metal at a lightning speed, destroying everything in its path. Be apart of the bestial birth of Noisem at OEF!!!
"Homewrecker - Things are going to get ugly at OEF America as Ohio's Homewrecker are back in Montreal with their grinding hardcore harmonies. They will show no mercy as they pummel your face with heavy as hell guitar riffs, punishing vocals & blistering fast drums!"

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are a point of much contention among the metal community (with its overall disdain for consumerism, commercial whoring, and conformity) - so much so that every year Daniel Vrangsinn's (Carpathian Forest) label Misantrof even releases the "Holy Fucking ANTIChristmas" compilation in December.
Despite that, many of the underground labels do offer sales and discounts the week of Thanksgiving, so if you're looking to get some quality metal, hardcore, or rock releases on a budget, this is the time to do it - and most of it is online or digital in nature, so as a bonus, you don't have to get stomped to death by a horde of deal hunters at 5 AM!
More links will be added throughout the week as labels and distros announce their various sales, so check back in often.
If actually buying music in physical format (and especially on vinyl) is more your thing than ordering online, then RECORD STORE DAY has compiled a handy list just for you of limited run, exclusive, or Black Friday-first releases only available in stores. Peruse the full list over here.
For the digital music junkies, AMAZON.COM has dozens of $5 digital hard rock and metal albums from bands like Arch Enemy, In This Moment, White Zombie, Lamb Of God, Chimaira, and many more. The deals run through the full month of November. More...

Having scaled the squad from a quintet with a vocalist down to a quartet with the drummer and guitarist dividing vocal duties, Homewrecker recorded the track as an introduction to the new lineup, and to help fill the gap between the 2012-released "Worms & Dirt" LP and a next official release later this year.
The music for the video was recorded by band cohort Thomas Tadsen in Cleveland in December, and the video was shot by Todd Thompson.

First up, Homewrecker will hit Toledo and Indianapolis with A389 labelmates Full Of Hell on September 9th and 10th on the way to connect with Harm's Way and Dead In The Dirt for a two-week Midwest-to-West Coast assault followed by another handful of dates with Harm's Way only.
Additionally, this week Homewrecker confirms the band's first European tour. The band is set to invade the continent for a full run alongside Calm The Fire just days after the mass of American tour actions, running from October 4th through 19th. Full tour info is available below. More...
Ohio-based Homewrecker is currently headed out to the West Coast, determined to level every city in the band's way getting there and back on tour over the following two and a half weeks.
The action begins tonight in Milwaukee and then cuts a counter-clockwise scythe of destruction down the West Coast and through the Southeast and Midwest getting back to Ohio. Several shows will see Homewrecker sharing the stage with Malfunction and Black Ice, with local support to appear on each show as well.
Also just in, Homewrecker has been confirmed to head back to the West Coast again just over a month after the current tour ends. This newly-confirmed sixteen-date voyage will see the Homewrecker outfit joining Atlanta powerviolence trio Dead In The Dirt and Chicago’s hardcore innovators Harm’s Way.
Merging crusty crossover and powerviolence elements with contemptuous mid-paced hardcore, Homewrecker continues to tour in support of most recent LP, "Worms & Dirt," which A389 Recordings released a year ago. Stream the full release below. More...
