German metal band Mystic Prophecy has posted new tour journals from their tour with Stratovarius and Tracedawn at this location. An excerpt from the most recent entry from their January 20th show in Switzerland at the Z7 is as follows:
"Now it's time for us to go on stage, intro, 'Across the Gates...,' 'Masters of Sin' ... and then I usually talk to the audience. In which language? English or German? Never mind! German is okay. 'Hello Switzerland!' ... I barely hear anything. What the hell... 'Hello Switzerlaaaaand!!!' ... there is a murmuring among the crowd. Just like what happened to Tracedawn, only a few fans making some noise. Okay, we don't give up so soon. Pedal to the metal! Slowly the Swiss are warming up and look, after five songs we made it. They're cheering and clapping."
"During 'To the Devil I pray' Matt tries to tell me something and he points upwards. When I look this direction I see that there's an open window, three Tracedawn guys are standing there, making faces. And in the middle of them, there's their bassist presenting his bare manhood... hahaha. The guys are priceless and we're cracking up with laughter onstage."

“Dream Evil are currently on tour promoting ‘In The Night’ on shows with Stratovarius and Tracedawn... Dream Evil’s drummer, Pat Power, quickly checked in as follows:
"Finally the roads are seeing Dream Evil again! The tour has been amazing so far! The crowd is wild and the metal anthems run like thunder, crushing all non-believers! People in the cities salute our arrival with mighty roars. Hail all the fans who join our crusade! Hope to see you out there too! Until then, metal forever!
“ ‘In The Night’ was once again produced at Sweden’s Studio Fredman (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, HammerFall, etc.), which is owned by Dream Evil axeman Fredrik Nordström, and the stunning artwork was created by Gustavo Sazes / www.abstrata.net (Arch Enemy, Firewind, Krisiun etc.).”

Stratovarius, who recently confirmed their appearance at Wacken 2010, will continue their European tour starting in January. The band also plans to start work on a new album in 2010. Here is a news update from the band:
"We're still in the middle of the Polaris world tour, but we do have a bit of news.
"The European summer festivals earlier this year were nice and relaxing as always, and then we embarked on a long three-month leg which covered the Far East, North and South America, and Finland. One highlight was Beijing, a place none of us in the band had played or visited before.
"Some of Lauri's video blogs from the past year are at http://www.stratovarius.com/tour.
"After a break for the holidays, the caravan will roll on in 2010, and we will do a long tour of Europe in January and February (see dates below). You can always check an up-to-date list of any upcoming dates at this address: http://www.stratovarius.com/tour.
"We have some more good news: we just confirmed to play Wacken in August 2010, which is always great fun. It's the biggest metal festival in the world, and has a great crowd, but also since there are so many bands there, you can always reconnect with many old friends backstage and in the VIP bar. This gig will mark the end of the "Polaris" would tour which spanned four continents with close to a hundred gigs. Wacken's website is at http://www.wacken.com/.
"We have finally made available the remaining stock some of the band's older merch. It's available for sale now at the 'treasure chest' on Stratovarius' official webshop at Fanzone. Some of these classic items are pretty unlikely that we will reprint, ever. The information about the old "treasure chest' merch you can find here (pdf). The main webshop with all the stock you can find at this address: http://www.fanzone.fi/stratovarius/.
"We have also confirmed an appearance on the '70,000 tons of metal' Caribbean cruise in late January, 2011. You can find details about this very nice cruise here: http://www.70000tons.com.
"We saved the best piece of good news for last: next year we will start work on a new full-length record, a follow-up to 2009's 'Polaris.'
"Best regards, happy holidays and have a great new 2010!"

"Ravage has unfortunately been forced to cancel appearances at The KC Power Fest and the August 18th show at Volume 11 in Raleigh, NC (this show will still be taking place, but without Ravage). Due to issues with the Ravage mobile, we've been forced to wait for repairs to take place in Missouri, so we will be delayed significantly and will have to pick up the tour in Allentown PA on August 20th - that will be the next show. Timo Tollki, formerly of Stratovarius and currently with Revolution Renaissance and the more recent Project Strato, has issued an updates on a number of things from his personal projects to the status of Revolution Renaissance:
"Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been really busy working hard with different things and projects. Some mixes for my mixing service, composing songs for Project Strato, one Finnish female artist and producing a record for a really cool new Goldenworks artist.
"I've been also writing my book and it is almost finished. It is sort of an autobiography covering the years 1975-2009. It is called: "Intermission - Entr'acte". Some kind and beautiful people are helping me with this by editing and translating. For free. That is truly amazing.
It will come out in English, Finnish, Portugese and Spanish. I try to make the price as low as possible. You will be able to order it from a certain webshop (I'm negotiating about it at the moment) and from some bookstores and record shops. I hope to get it out early September.
"Things don't look too good for RR unfortunately. We have tried but we have no gigs confirmed and actually we don't even have a record deal at the moment. Anyway, we have been working on a new website at least and it should be up in some time soon. There is an intropage already at www.revolution-renaissance.com if you want to have a look. For those who have speakers in their computers, the intropage has a little surprise.
We had to close down the forum to weed out the spam bots and fill in some security holes. This might take some time. Sorry for that.
"When we have something to tell about the possible gigs and new recordings, we will of course inform you right away."
