Mercenary Confirmed For Earthshaker Festival
Mercenary are now ready to kick major ass on the upcoming shows in Iceland and the summer festivals. The band also just got confirmed for the Earthshaker festival taking place in Geiselwind, Germany. Here is an overview of the festivals:

Mnemic And Ex-Mercenary Members Join Forces
TRANSPARENT, the new Danish metal band featuring Signar Petersen (ex-MERCENARY; lead guitar, bass), Brian "Brylle" Rasmusen (MNEMIC, drums), Danny Hove Jensen (guitar, bass) and Rene Pedersen (vocals), have uploaded all five songs from their current demo, "Mutual Assured Destruction", at their official web site. The songs available for download are as follows:

"Mutual Assured Destruction" was recorded between November 15, 2004 and December 7, 2004 at Apole Studios and was produced and mixed by Casper Skafte, Morten Sandager and TRANSPARENT.
TRANSPARENT are currently seeking a record deal.
Mercenary To Interact With Fans On Metaleater
Mercenary mastermind/vocalist/bassist Kral is now available to interact with fans and answer questions, and offer his opinions on all things metal on our official forum.

Brainstorm Update and Tour Dates
Brainstorm have issued a quick update between tour rehearsals and interview sessions. Their single, 'All Those Words,' is out and entered the single charts in Hungary at #5.
They have released new tour dates as well including a new festival date in the beginning of June in Italy and the re-sceduled UK dates in October supporting Saxon.

Orphaned Land to Make First US Apperance
Century Media is proud to announce that Israeli progressive metal band Orphaned Land will be appearing this September at Atlanta’s ProgPower USA VI. This will be the band’s first-ever appearance in the United States. Vocalist Kobi Farhi is thrilled to be a part of this year’s festival and sent this message to fans, “We are happy and excited to announce that we have confirmed our debut show in the U.S.A., and we are coming to bring you a storm from the ORPHANED LAND. Hurricane Ivan was nothing here comes the Flood!! See you all at ProgPower.”
"Orphaned Land was the first band I approached about playing this year’s festival,” says ProgPower USA promoter Glenn Harveston. “I have been listening to the band since their early releases starting with 1994’s Sahara, and 1996’s El Norra Allil. I can say that 2004’s Mabool was one of the year’s most original and exotic albums. I’m honored to be able to bring them to the U.S. to be part of ProgPower USA VI." The prestigious festival has previously hosted labelmates Tad Morose, Into Eternity, Mercenary, Jag Panzer and Blind Guardian.

Mercenary Posts Song And Tour Footage Online
In 2004 Denmark’s Mercenary unleashed their Century Media debut "11 Dreams" to electric fanfare across Europe. Just in time for the Feb. 8 American release date Century Media has posted a second MP3 from the album, this time it’s the viciously aggressive “Firesoul” (Real Media).
The band has also put together 2004 tour footage recorded on their personal cellphones and put together as a video for the song “World Hate Center,” click here to view. At Vance is just about to finish the new album. The studio drummer will be Franco Zuccaroli. The band is still searching for a drummer.

Mercenary Nominated For Danish Metal Awards
Danish Progressive melodic metal shooting stars Mercenary are nominated for the Danish Metal Award 2004 in four categories: Best album, best live act, best vocalist and best guitarist. Just get on http://www.danishmetal.dk/Awards2004.htm and vote via e-mail until December 31st 2004.
After their strong performance at German Summer Breeze Festival 2004 and several shows with Evergrey a lot of new tourdates already got in. The Rock Station Festival in Ankara, Turkey taking place in March 2005, the lengthy European Tour with Brainstorm & At Vance in April/May and Wacken Open Air 2005 are surely some highlights.

Finland's Finntroll is the latest act to be confirmed for the Wacken Open Air festival, scheduled to take place on August 4-6, 2005 in Wacken, Germany.

Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy, and Overkill are the latest names to be added to next year's Wacken Open Air Festival, slated to take place on August 4-6 in Wacken, Germany. Other bands scheduled to appear at the festival are Accept, Nightwish, Sinner, Marduk, Ensiferum, Mercenary, Illdisposed, Endstille, and Turisas. More bands will be announced soon.
Mercenary Schedule "11 Dreams" US Release Date
Danish band Mercenary’s Century Media debut and fourth full-length release "11 Dreams" has been scheduled for U.S. release on February 8th, 2005. Recorded by Jacob Hanson (HateSphere, Raunchy) with cover art by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy), the album’s crystal clear production ushers in an essential pure form of intense expression. Combining multi-layered vocals, intricate songwriting, and simple-catchy song structure, while remaining aggressive, the band weaves into their music a dark symphonic Scandinavian melancholy. "11 Dreams" can be described as a mixture of Soilwork’s "Natural Born Chaos," and fellow Dane’s Raunchy.
Released in Europe earlier this year to celebratory reviews, "11 Dreams" received Metal Hammer Germany’s album of the month and the esteemed magazine awarded it 6 out of 7 points. Rock Hard Germany awarded the album 8 out of 10 points and called it “an exquisitely powerful opus.” The domestic U.S. version of the album will contain 2-bonus tracks.
Guitar player Jakob Mølberg commented on the bands Century Media multi-album worldwide record deal, “signing with the label (Century Media) has always been a dream for us – not as a label but as a statement that Mercenary has entered a new rank in the world of metal music.” The band performed in 2003 at Atlanta’s sold-out ProgPower USA IV. Mercenary Confirmed For Aalborg Metal Fest
Danish metallers Mercernary are the latest act confirmed for the Aalborg Metal Festival 2004, a two-day event set to take place November 5-6 at Studenterhuset in Aalborg, Denmark. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are Mnemic, 1349, Withering Surface, The Defaced, Illdisposed, Scarve, Heaven Shall Burn, Zyklon, Darkane and Downset, among others.
Mercenary's third full-length album, "11 Dreams," was released in August through Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Jacob Hansen (Hatesphere, Invocator, Raunchy) and features and includes a cover version of Kent's hit single "Music Non Stop." Artwork duties were handled by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Arch Enemy).
The Haunted, Mercenary, Mnemic, Raunchy To Team Up
The Haunted, Mercenary, Mnemic, Hatesphere, Raunchy, Melted, Blindfault and Stomped will be teaming up for a special "Nordic Threat" show during the Popkomm 2004 music convetion. The gig, which will take place on September 29 at Silver Wings in Berlin, Germany, will be presented by Music Export Denmark, Rock Hard and 3rd Tsunami Agency. Tickets will be priced 10 euros at the door.
