Chiildren Streaming "O' Child"

Synthetic metal duo Chiildren has released a new track entitled "O' Child" (produced by Michael Keene of The Faceless), taken from upcoming EP "The Circle Narrows."

The EP, which does not yet have an official release date, also features artwork from Steven Johnson Leyba. Chiildren's Chris Zeischegg comments:

"It has been an honor to work with producer, Michael Keene, on The Circe Narrows EP. His knowledge and understanding of metal, industrial, and electronic music has been integral in shaping the new material from experimentation into what I hope is the perfect representation of our sound.

"Our new song, 'O' Child,' reflects an evolution from spirituality to narcissism. And the upcoming EP, The Circle Narrows, is meant as a disappropriation of symbols. It's difficult to view ancient texts or images without the thought that their power, or significance, is irrelevant to contemporary life. If Ouroboros (the snake that eats itself) is meant as a symbol of individuation, I can only see it as a reminder that the path has narrowed and will soon run out." More...

Chiildren Releases New Music Video

Chiildren has released a video for the song "My Gods," which is the second clip to come from "The Other People" EP. The band first penetrated the public consciousness with a harrowing yet captivating music video for their single, "Girl In The Dirt." Chris Zeischegg of Chiildren comments:

"'My Gods' is an agnostic prayer as heard by a demon named Elim, otherwise known as the 'lord of attrition.' The video depicts his relationship to three characters and their subsequent deterioration of mind, body, and soul.

"We filmed much of the video completely guerrilla style in an abandoned house in the San Fernando Valley. A passing hiker spotted us and called 911 to report a possible rape/murder. So halfway through our first day, we were approached by three policemen with guns drawn. The sheriff quickly realized what we were doing and then explained that his children were filmmakers. Amazingly, he allowed us to keep shooting as long as we remained unseen by the public.

"In order to continue our good luck, we modified the demonic sigil that we planned to paint on our apartment floor in order to not summon an actual demon." More...
