Canadian speed/thrash metal act EXCITER's forthcoming new album, Thrash, Speed, Burn, will now be released via Massacre Records on February 22nd. Songs to appear on the release include: 'Thrash Speed Burn', 'Demon`s Gate', 'Evil Omen', 'Hangman', 'In Mortal Fear', 'Crucifixion', 'Betrayal', 'The Punisher', 'Massacre Mountain', 'Rot The Devil King'. Thrash, Speed, Burn will be issued as a regular CD and limited CD digipak.
Exciter's 2007 line-up features original guitarist John Ricci, Rik Charron (drums), Clammy (bass) and new singer Kenny Winter.
UK black metal legends VENOM are the latest act confirmed for the Atarfe Vega Rock Festival which will take place at Coliseo de Atarfe (covered Bullring) in Granada, Spain, on December 1st. Canadian thrash metal pioneers EXCITER have inked a deal with Germany's Massacre Records for the release of their new album, entitled "Thrash, Speed, Burn". The CD is tentatively due in November.
"Thrash, Speed, Burn" will mark EXCITER's recorded debut with new singer Kenny "MetalMouth" Winter, who joined the band last October. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

Canadian thrashers EXCITER have confirmed their first live show with new singer Kenny "MetalMouth" Winter at The
Reverb in Toronto, Ontario on August 18. The event is being dubbed the Glory Through Steel concert series.
As previously reported, Exciter are no longer with Osmose Productions and are shopping around for a new deal for their upcoming album, Thrash Speed Burn. Exciter's last studio release was 2004's New Testament - Coven Of Re-Recorded Classics, which was released by Osmose Productions.

Canadian thrash metal pioneers EXCITER have parted ways with France's Osmose Productions. The band is currently seeking a new label home for the release of the group's upcoming CD, entitled "Thrash Speed Burn".
EXCITER last fall announced the addition of Brooklyn, New York-based singer Kenny "Metal Mouth" Winter to the group's ranks. "After holding auditions this past summer, the band was blown away with Kenny's three-and-a-half-octave range, delivered with tremendous intensity and conviction," the band previously said in a statement.
Kenny "Metal Mouth" Winter has issued the following statement regarding his addition to the band:
"A big hello to all EXCITER fans worldwide! I want to take a moment to thank John, Clammy and Rik for their support and for the opportunity that has been given to me to perpetuate the legacy of EXCITER. I also want to thank all the fans that have expressed their salutations and support without even having heard my voice. Your acceptance has been overwhelming (literally)!
"I have become aware that there are fans out there that are concerned and/or skeptical about the upcoming album and the direction that it might take with me at the mic. Believe me, guys, I know I have big shoes to fill. To follow in the footsteps of Dan and Jacques will be no easy task, but I intend to storm every continent with the confidence and conviction of an electrical storm. Make no mistake - I-AM-METAL!!!"
Vocalist Jacques Belanger left EXCITER for the third and final time last spring "due to differences of opinion on many issues," according to a press release.
EXCITER's latest CD is "New Testament - Coven of Re-Recorded Classics", a collection of reworked early songs which was released in June 2004 through Osmose Productions.

Canadian thrash heroes Exciter are to have four albums re-issued by Megaforce on July 4. The records in question are 'Heavy Metal Maniac', 'Long Live The Loud', 'Unveiling The Wicked' and 'Violence And Force'. All will come with bonus tracks.

Dream Theater are the latest band confirmed for the Graspop Metal Meeting festival, set to take place June 24-26 in Dessel, Belgium.
