Kara Darahu Posts Video Teaser

The Finland based symphonic extreme metal band Kara Darahu has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming debut album "From The Depths Of Neverwell." Check it out below. The band also comments:

"Brace the void! Kara Darahu will bring you nightmare visions of truly epic proportions. The first full length release is crafted from dreamscapes and horrors from beyond this world. Epic, majestic and extreme metal that combines symphonic orchestrations and gravity defying metal onslaught into a devastating dramatic play of insanity. Do you dare to dream again?

"The video was filmed and produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was directed by Victoria Pelejero. Camila Rodriguez, the 12 year old actress who is having nightmares in the video, is known before as a Phantom Girl in the awarded short film 'La Chica Más Rara Del Mundo - The Weirdest Girl In The World.'"

The video's director also comments on the filming:

"It all started as lets make a 1 minute promo video for the upcoming album but then, instead of some motion graphics about the logo, we came up with the idea of filming this little simple story which works more like a trailer, combining some clichès of 80s movies (catholic girl, bloody toys, shadows and nightmares). What we didnt know is that a nightmare it would be. 'Don´t put fake blood on Jesus!' mama used to say, and damn she was right.

"From the second we throw blood on the cross the problems started. Lights went off twice during filming, a light was burnt then, strange noises all around, and 3 computer disks burnt while editing (One in the name of the father, other in the name of the son, and the last for the holy spirit). We all had nightmares in the process... those really obvious Freddy-like nightmares... that we were ashamed to tell. At the end, it was like 'thank god this Finn craziness is over' and yet... we would do it again, just for the love of blood."

Adds Kara Darahu composer Samuli Tuomas Mäkelä: "We are happy and excited about everything what's going on at the moment. As a Finnish band our first video was filmed and produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Huge thanks for Victoria Pelejero, and everyone who was involved in this and made the film possible." More...

Kara Darahu Shoots New Music Video

Finnish symphonic extreme metal outfit Kara Darahu has announced the band's first official video is coming soon.

The video was filmed and produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina and directed by Victoria Pelejero. The clip will be followed by a new album in 2014.

Director Victoria Pelejero comments about the idea behind the video: "Kara Darahu's music has a cinematographic vibe, so, as an 80s movies fan I started to imagine the sequences of a movie as soon as I started to hear the song.

"The nightmarish theme in the music took me to my childhood, when I hid to watch horror films, so I planned the video as an old movie trailer, keeping it very simple in argument (a little girl having a nightmare) but using all those visual elements that made 80s horror movies great... the idea, in the end, was to make a very safe environment, like your bedroom, a place where your own demons chase you." Kara Darahu Streaming New Track

Kara Darahu will release "Aether Inhaled Deformities" this coming June 28th via Artificial God Productions. You can now hear the title track below, and the following press release was also issued about the band:

"Kara Darahu seems to be one of the most monumental symphonic metal bands which comes from out of nowhere. Aether Inhaled Deformities sounds massive, brutal, chaotic, but made with good taste. Huge Symphonic orchestral parts brings some bigger names to mind like Dimmu Borgir, Septic Flesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse."
