Master Reveals Details Of New Album

Death metal band Master has revealed that the band's new album will be entitled "The New Elite" and will be released in the latter half of 2012 through Pulverized Records. The album marks the band's eleventh studio album and first since the 2010 release "The Human Machine." The band is also streaming the new song "Smile As You're Told," which can be heard below.

Master mainman Paul Speckmann commented on the new album: "'The New Elite' deals with the problems we face in society at this current time. The rich are getting richer and the poor are starving on the streets all around the world while men battle each other for world dominance! Governments are grabbing the world by the balls and dictating the new rules of the soon-to-be New Elite, while the youth of today just sit down and take it. I really wonder if and when the youth of today will take a stand against these crazy fucked-up ruthless world leaders. The time has come to stand up and be counted!"

Army Of Darkness Tour Cancelled

Macabre has revealed through it's Facebook page that the Army of Darkness Tour 2012 with Massacre and Master has been cancelled. Band members and legal representatives for the groups have stated that the agent never got back to the bands regarding contracts and deposits, which put all parties at unease. Massacre still hopes to go over to Europe in the summertime to play a few shows that will not conflict with Terry Butler's Obituary schedule. Master issued the following statement on it's Facebook page: "I am sorry to say that the Massacre, Macabre and Master tour is cancelled. A big apology goes out for sure to all the fans and promoters, but unfortunately in today's world of business it is hard to find a reputable booking agent and the days are gone to take such risks with guys like Marcus Schreiber. After 10 days of no answers, contracts or final confirmation of the dates we are forced to cancel the tour." - (Paul Speckmann and Master) Rick Rozz DeLillo (Massacre) had the following succinct thing to say: "We saved ourselves a 100% nightmare, and the year has just begun." Lightning Swords Of Death Comments On Tour

Los Angeles black metal collective Lightning Swords of Death, who were slated to kick off a month-long U.S. tour supporting death metal legends Master last week, were forced to head back home when the headliners were prevented from entering the country.

Commented vocalist Autarch of the unfortunate tour cancellation: "Know this: Lightning Swords of Death was thoroughly prepared for this tour only to be thwarted by circumstances beyond our control. I assure you all, we shall return with a vengeance in the near future.

"Already the black teet of kaos have begun to drip strange opportunity upon the ashes of this Master disaster. I shall reveal more details as they materialize."

The band's second album "The Extra Dimensional Wound," was released via Metal Blade Records last year on vinyl in December via Canonical Hours Records and is available as a deluxe gatefold LP featuring two 200-gram discs with a 12-page booklet and expanded artwork in a limited edition of 500 copies.

Master Cancels U.S. Tour

Death metal act Master, which was scheduled to kick off a U.S. tour this week with support from Lightning Swords of Death and Mobile Deathcamp, was denied entry into the country and forced to return to the Czech Republic.

Master main man Paul Speckmann issued the following statement:

"We arrived Tuesday morning in Holland and after intense questioning we proceeded to the eye and body scan machine. Along with the other passengers, we proceeded to the plane. We arrived in Detroit and went to passport control. I waited for about two hours for any word on the guys. The police came to explain that the visa waiver program didn’t apply to musicians. So they sent me to customs and proceeded to tear apart everything and sent me on my way. I waited for six hours to get on another airplane and return to Europe.

"Thankfully the lady at the Delta checkout counter was very helpful and confirmed that the guys would be on the next plane in the evening and I could return with them. The guys were escorted to the plane by four police officers and returned their passports when we arrived in Amsterdam. Since when are musicians and terrorists in the same category? Again I apologize to all the bands, organizers and fans of course. I guess the CD cover of the Human Machine CD has become a reality!”

Additional information on rescheduled dates and whether the supporting bands will be continuing the tour will be announced as details become available.
