Death metal pioneers Master and German label FDA Rekotz have joined forces for the exclusive world premier of the band's landmark 12th release, "The Witchhunt." The album features 11 brand new tracks of classic death metal and will be available worldwide through FDA Rekotz on September 27th, but you can experience the devastation early with an upload of the track "The Parable" below.
Formats on which the album will be available include digital, CD and white, black or blue vinyl. Several pre-order CD/LP + t-shirt packages are being offered. FDA Rekotz and Master are also offering an 'Ultimate Fan Package' that includes the album on CD and vinyl, a Master t-shirt, patch and sticker and a copy of "Speckmann - Underground Survivor - The Pictoral," a limited edition, 196-page book featuring pictures and stories from MASTER founder and death metal pioneer Paul Speckmann.
German thrash act Exumer has dropped off the upcoming Slaughterfest Tour in Europe with Onslaught, MPire of Evil and Master, citing logistical reasons as the cause.
The announcement reads:
"The logistical circumstances that preceded this tour made it impossible to commit to the tour, even if it meant giving up our co/ headlining spot on the bill. We are just as disappointed as everyone else who wanted to check out this killer tour package but we had to make a decision and as difficult it was, we opted to pull out of the tour. Anyone who has seen us live in the past knows that we try to play energetic and exciting shows possible. Unfortunately, the logistical problems surrounding the tour would've made it impossible to guarantee the fans a 100% of what we are capable of and to deliver what they expect every night.
"We refuse to shortchange our fans and ultimately tarnish the EXUMER brand just for some profit. Our withdraw[al] from the tour has nothing to do with the rest of the bands on the tour package and we wish them a great run with loads of success, as we have nothing but respect for each of the remaining bands on the bill.
"We will do our best to put together a string of shows in Europe next year to make up for this cancellation and ask for everyone to consider our apologies and hopefully see you at one of the next Exumer shows!!"

Kaotoxin Records has announced "The New Elite European Tour 2012" with the double bill of Master (U.S./CZ) as headliner, alongside up-and-coming death metal band Dehuman from Belgium. For updates, join the tour's Facebook event page. The tour will start on Oct.6th in Germany and end on Oct. 14th in the Czech Republic. Tour dates are still being confirmed. Dehuman's full-length debut, "Black Throne of All Creation," will be out on May 28th via Kaotoxin Records.
Death metal band Master has revealed that the band's new album will be entitled "The New Elite" and will be released in the latter half of 2012 through Pulverized Records. The album marks the band's eleventh studio album and first since the 2010 release "The Human Machine." The band is also streaming the new song "Smile As You're Told," which can be heard below.
Master mainman Paul Speckmann commented on the new album: "'The New Elite' deals with the problems we face in society at this current time. The rich are getting richer and the poor are starving on the streets all around the world while men battle each other for world dominance! Governments are grabbing the world by the balls and dictating the new rules of the soon-to-be New Elite, while the youth of today just sit down and take it. I really wonder if and when the youth of today will take a stand against these crazy fucked-up ruthless world leaders. The time has come to stand up and be counted!"
Macabre has revealed through it's Facebook page that the Army of Darkness Tour 2012 with Massacre and Master has been cancelled. Band members and legal representatives for the groups have stated that the agent never got back to the bands regarding contracts and deposits, which put all parties at unease. Massacre still hopes to go over to Europe in the summertime to play a few shows that will not conflict with Terry Butler's Obituary schedule. Master issued the following statement on it's Facebook page: "I am sorry to say that the Massacre, Macabre and Master tour is cancelled. A big apology goes out for sure to all the fans and promoters, but unfortunately in today's world of business it is hard to find a reputable booking agent and the days are gone to take such risks with guys like Marcus Schreiber. After 10 days of no answers, contracts or final confirmation of the dates we are forced to cancel the tour." - (Paul Speckmann and Master) Rick Rozz DeLillo (Massacre) had the following succinct thing to say: "We saved ourselves a 100% nightmare, and the year has just begun." Los Angeles black metal collective Lightning Swords of Death, who were slated to kick off a month-long U.S. tour supporting death metal legends Master last week, were forced to head back home when the headliners were prevented from entering the country.
Commented vocalist Autarch of the unfortunate tour cancellation: "Know this: Lightning Swords of Death was thoroughly prepared for this tour only to be thwarted by circumstances beyond our control. I assure you all, we shall return with a vengeance in the near future.
"Already the black teet of kaos have begun to drip strange opportunity upon the ashes of this Master disaster. I shall reveal more details as they materialize."
